I was reading that President Obama had sent Dempsey to Israel to personally tell Netanyahu that the US was not going to help Israel attack Iran, and that if Israel attacked unilaterally, the US would not back them. Coincidentally, when Dempsey was recently visiting the troops in Afghanistan, there was apparently a power failure in the 2 billion Dollar defense system around Baghran Air base, one of the most expensive and sophisticated defense systems in the world, and Dempsey's plane was attacked by unknown assailants when the power was "down" and two crew members on board the plane were wounded. The suspicion is that Israeli Mozad were the only ones capable of such and attack on an aircraft of America's highest ranking military man. it's believed that Netanyahu was angry with Dempsey for not siding with the criminals that run Israel.
