Tiff, I wonder what the numbers would be if you polled the minoritites on their feelings towards others. Do you think that maybe they would have the same results? I don't have a problem with those that do not believe, and I have many friends and some family members that don't. I think the problem, at least in the US, is that many who do believe feel that those who don't believe attack them for believing. Some examples could be trying to remove prayer form before sporting events, or removal of "In God we Trust" from our currency. Many atheaits say that these things offend them. As a believer, not doing or having these things offends me. Everyone can be offended about everything if they choose to. I would say everyone needs to take their feelings off their shoulders and toughen up a little. If everyone, believers and non-beleivers, acted with a little more patience and tolorance this issue might resolve itself. J

Ok I agree with a lot of what is being said, but not everything. These discussions are much too in-depth to be handled in a single post or story. Hard core liberals and conservatives can always find extraordinary examples to prove their point. Most Americans live in the real world somewhere in the middle. These are just some of my thoughts on some of what I have read" 1. Nowhere have I ever heard that in American you are guaranteed success or wealth. You are guaranteed the opportunity to be successful. This is the "The Land of Opportunity” not the "Land of Guaranteed Wealth" 2. If you are not successful it is not the wealthy people's fault. Be happy for them and work hard to become wealthy if that is what you want. 3. It is not the responsibility of the rich to make sure everybody becomes rich. 4. I do agree that we should have term limits! 5. We should also have caps on the amount money that can be spent on a campaign so one cannot buy an election. 6. If you want to be successful get up off your backside and start making it happen. 7. Believe me I know it isn't easy. If it was easy everyone would be rich. Before you tell me I don't know what I'm talking about or insensitive let me tell a little about myself. 12 years ago I lived in my car for 2 months. I got a job worked extremely hard for about 5 years before anything special happened. After that a friend of mine who knew how hard of a worker I was got me an interview for a good job. Then I worked even harder mainly because I didn't want to let my friend down. Now I am 7 weeks away from graduating from college. I have a beautiful wife and daughter; I own my own home and two vehicles. I will start work on my MBA in the Fall of next year. And someday god willing I will be part of the 1%. So will most of the people on this site if the RV comes through! My point is it may take 5-10 years of hard work with no reward to get where you want to go, but if you’re dedicated and work hard you can achieve the elusive American Dream!!! If you are not willing to put in the work you will not recieve the reward. Just sayin JJ
