  1. Greetings Friends, I enjoy reading the Irag-Business News and in the last few months things havereally been adding up to a coming RV. I would encourage You to go and read it. RV by end of month probably not, but it seems just around the corner at this date!!!
  2. Credit Suisse (a leading global financial services company headquartered in Zurich.) has upgraded Genel Energy as a result of what it described as "irreversible progress" towards achieving large scale oil exports via Turkey. Believing that the Iraqi Kurdistan oil play is now lower risk, analyst Thomas Adolff says that progress has been very impressive since 2011 and "we treat recent events - the signing of the energy agreement with Turkey last week - as irreversible progress ... We believe Genel could be the bright-spot again in the UK E&P space in 2014."
  3. Greetings Friends, Wow, the good news of the Iraqi parliment actually just is becoming regular now! I enjoy reading the Iraq-Business News on a regular basis besides the Positives that Adam keeps bringing us. Today, Dec. 5, 2013 I was happy to read the following: Reuters reports that Baghdad and Erbil appear to have found a formula that will allow Iraqi Kurdistan to export oil to Turkey through a new pipeline. Following a meeting in Baghdad on Sunday with Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister for Energy, Hussain al-Shahristani, Turkey's Energy Minister, Taner Yildiz, said on Tuesday that an agreement over oil exports and revenue sharing could be reached this month. The wise Kurds will be placing all Profits in a Turkish National Bank; forcing Iraq to finish the agreement of around 17% for the Kurds and no longer screwing around and trying to continue bringing their share of the profit down! This is just one of the last bricks needing to be placed for the RVVV. Sincerely, BradyBear
  4. The acting Finance Minister, Ali Yousef Shukri (pictured), is reported to have held a meeting with a representative of the World Bank to discuss the restructuring of the state-owned banks in Iraq.
  5. Greetings, Here is a Smile for your day: Reuters reports that China's state-owned Sinochem Corp plans to use Iraqi crude oil for 40 percent of the capacity of its new refinery, in what the article describes as "the latest example of Iraq beating Middle Eastern rivals in the competition for new markets in Asia". The deal wold replacing a preliminary agreement to use more expensive oil from Kuwait, and make Sinochem one of Baghdad's top oil buyers next year, when the company starts its first wholly-owned refinery. I keep reading in my Iraq Business Week points that shine on mid 2014 or before for long awaited moment for RV!!! Sincerely, BradyBear
  6. Greetings, I just saw on NBC evening news that Prime Minster ha asked President Obama for help to clear ou the Terroist. Here's an idea, make the Dinar worth something, then hire western mercenaries and PAY them to clean out the Terroists. No more asking the U.S. to do your dirty work, costing us American Lives and Money! Sinccerely, BradyBear
  7. Greetings, I was reading my Iraqi news today and have good cause to feel the RV will be mid 2014 if not earlier: Thamir Ghadhban (pictured), chairman of the advisory commission to Iraq’s Council of Ministers, has said that he expects a robust return to growth next year as foreign companies push output from the southern oilfields to new records. Output is expected to rise by at least 500,000 barrels per day to an average of 3.5 million bpd, as the Majnoon, Garraf and Halfaya oilfields ramp up, and the Badra field comes on line. Production this year is likely to average more than 3 million bpd, slightly up on 2012, but by the end of the year rates are likely to reach a level of 3.5 million bpd, added the former oil minister. Have a Great Day, BradyBear
  8. Thanks Adam, it's always Great to see that your on top of things and that what I learn agrees with what you say. It Proves that this is a Positive place to follow for learning the lastest facts! Sincerely, BradyBear
  9. Greetings, Dinar Exchange Rate Linked to Oil Exports, Federal Reserves According to an Iraqi financial expert, the value of Iraq’s federal reserves currently amounts to about $80 billion, following the recent increase in the country’s oil exports On how the reserves are formed, Asadi said, “Iraq’s annual budget is in Iraqi dinars, which the CBI owns. The state’s revenues are from oil exports, and they are mostly in US dollars. The government buys dinars from the bank, which results in profits for the bank. … The total CBI profits from selling dinars to the state constitute the country’s federal reserve, whose growth is associated with state spending. State spending increases in proportion with its oil exports With the expected increase in Iraq’s oil exports in the near future, the country’s reserves are likely to grow to a large extent in the coming years. Iraqi MP Abdul Hussein Abtan, who is a member of the parliamentary economic committee, said to Al-Monitor, “The total value of funds and precious metals that make up Iraq’s federal reserves amounts to about $76 billion.” He added, “This reserve was only invested in projects to support the stability of the Iraqi dinar’s exchange rate.” Abtan also talked about the currency auction, where the bank is putting up amounts of US dollars in cash for auction three times per week, to provide hard currency for traders and suppliers. Sincerely, BradyBear
  10. Greetings, Here is yet another good reason we have not had the RV yet. I keep reading logial reasons that Iraq is rebuilding and shall continue to do until they are firmly grounded and up and completely functioning. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki says Iraq has signed a $6 billion deal with Swiss company Satarem to build and run southern Iraq’s first new, large-scale refinery in 30 years. The oompany will set up the 150,000 barrel-per-day refinery near Amara, in Missan [Maysan] province, on a 50-year build-own-operate (BOO) contract. Satarem was created in 1992 by Mr.Jérôme Friler and Mr.Adolf Wong, registered in Switzerland and operating across the globe providing solutions for heavy engineering industries. Sincerely, BradyBear
  11. Greetings Adam and Friends, Here is some Positive news for us: Shell has officially inaugurated Iraq's huge Majnoon oil field on Sunday, and said it aims to reach 175,000 barrels a day in the coming weeks. Production from the field's first well started on 20th September, and Hussein al Shahristani, the Iraqi deputy prime minister for energy, said in Dubai that output is expected to rise to almost 200,000 barrels a day before the end of the year. Shell owns 45 percent of the venture, with Petronas owning 30 percent, and the Iraqi state holding 25 percent. They have pledged to eventually raise production to 1.8 million barrels a day. Have a Great day, BradyBear
  12. Greetings Adam and thanks for the constant positives! When we hit the national day and President Bambam still will not make a compromise and the world is worried about the U.S.A., could Iraq see us as weak and there for see that as the best time to RV? Thanks, BradyBear
  13. On Monday, September 16, the Ministry of Planning launched Iraq's second National Development Plan (NDP) 2013-2017 at Baghdad's Al-Rasheed Hotel. The Ministry of Planning (MOP) played a key role in producing the new NDP, with support from other Government of Iraq institutions and line ministries. The launch for the NDP was hosted by Minister of Planning Dr. Ali Al Shukri. Iraq's NDP 2013-2017 establishes government's development priorities, and charts a path for Iraq to achieve more diversified economic growth.
  14. Seems RV is slidding away; at least until the Government drives Al-Qaeda completely out of country! Every day is worse than the one before," says Ali Hussein, a 32-year-old selling slippers and sandals from a stall outside the main Baab al-Sharqi market, in one of central Baghdad's oldest neighbourhoods on the east bank of the Tigris River. Wednesday's violence was claimed by an Al-Qaeda front group, and comes amid a surge in nationwide violence that has left more than 3,700 people dead already this year, sparking worries the country is edging towards the all-out bloodshed that plagued it in 2006 and 2007. What is your feeling for RV?
  15. This obviously needs Atention and Action taken before RV: Baghdad MP, Abd al-Hussein Abtan, of the Citizen Coalition and the member of the Economic Parliamentary Committee revealed the existence of merchants associated with corrupt governmental officials controlling the markets in Iraq. Abtan stated to IraqiNews.com ”The Parliamentary Economic Committee have always assured that the development in Iraq can only be achieved with the private sector, though there are a control on the general trade in Iraq, yet it is not by the private sector influence.” ”There are some merchants imposing their control on markets by exploiting their relations with governmental officials,” he added.
  16. Greetings Adam, I'm sure many others are asking themselves new and serious development in Iraq; how do You feel that the massive prison break of over 500 very radical political prisoners today Tuesday 7-21-2013 will affect the RV? Sincerely, BradyBear

  21. Obama is now using ObamaCare and doctors to spy on patients for his new gun-control plan. With 2,700 pages, the new healthcare law gives the president near-dictatorial control over your healthcare.
  22. An accomplished student is President Obama: The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation" ~Adolph Hitler Mein Kompf
