Unbelievable weekend for football. Went 9-1 yesterday. If not for the INT in the end zone by Houston, would be 10-0> I'll take it.

The first thing I will do is pay my taxes. Then pay off my church's entire debt as well as the school my kids go to. Pay my debt off as well as my brother and sisters debt off. Then I will buy a beach home as well as build a huge log cabin in the mountains. Set aside money for my kids education and spend the next 14 years following my kids around and be at every sporting event, musical, play or whatever else they are involved in at the time. Spend time with my wife and kids because they are my source of inspiration.

dee62, as for a corporations paying taxes. Corporations don't pay taxes on income. PEOPLE PAY TAXES ON INCOME. The money has to go somewhere. If it stays in the corporation, it should NOT be taxed. When you take it out, then the PERSON getting the money should be taxed at the appropriate level.

Legolas, let us assume that O IS holding up the RV. (I don't think so, but for the sake of argument, let's assume he is). Why would there be such a delay? As you have stated, it would help our country if it was released now. So why? Think about this. What if there is debate as to HOW our government will spend this MONEY. O has a track record and intense 2-year history of SPENDING, SPENDING, SPENDING. MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more than even Bush. Now, what if the Republicans are holding out for this money to go to the national debt, but O wants to spend it on other social programs. What if O want to continue his philosophy of wealth re-distribution and give this money away instead of paying down the national debt. That would be a good reason for the delay, wouldn't you agree?

Legolas, I agree and thank God for Newt and the Contract with America that got us into the surplus. Why did we have a surplus? Because we balanced our budget. PERIOD. Medicare and SS were designed to be pre-paid programs. You contribute to the program all your working life, then you draw from the program after retirement. As we all know, it is not that way. The money that I contribute now is paying for those that are being paid today. Tough decisions must be made. Have you ever owned your own business? The hardest thing to do is cut back or let someone go, but if you don't, you will not survive. We are in the exact same position as a country right now. IT IS NOT HARD FOR OUR GOVERNMENT TO BALANCE OUR BUDGET. It just takes hard decisions that may not be popular. The only thing that BOTH parties are concerned about is re-election. You can't get re-elected by cutting programs. You are going to make a bunch of dependent people very upset. That is why the TEA PARTY people are so important. They don't care about re-election. They only care about getting our country back on solid financial ground.
