  1. Complaining about Bush sending our troops into Iraq on this particular website is in poor taste imo.
  2. It only sucks if you love America, and would like to see it returned to its former glory. But if you are into division and the "us vs. them" mentality then it was a stellar night for you.
  3. Don't make the assumption that I agreed with Bush or even voted for him.
  4. I can not for the life of me understand why people think its a BAD thing for some one to know how to conduct business and make a profit. Are all of the choices one has to make in order to do that always pleasant? No... but you have to know how to make those tough choices some times. You can't always make choices that makes every one feel warm a fuzzy inside. But the problem we have here is a president who is blatantly after his own agenda and most of the media and Hollywood are too interested in being 'PC" to even see it, or if they do, they are too chicken poop to say anything about it. Here is the bottom line, when this president who claimed to have Christian values (whether you agree with them or not ), stood up during a State of the Union address and declared that Israel should return to the boarders of 1964, he showed his true colors. Even if you are not a believer yourself, this proves that he isn't and therefor is a liar. That's all I needed to know about him at that point. Nothing else he claims can be trusted. I understand if others don't understand my line of thinking but that is how I see it. To get elected he tried to place himself in that spectrum so x amount of voters would vote for him, and it was nothing but a sham. If you can not be honest about your core values, what else will you lie about just to make people happy. I'm not saying Mitt hasn't had his share, but not about his core faith, he knows there is a good number of people who won't like his belief but he hasn't lied about it, most likely because he hasn't had to.
  5. It's called Gapminder and I believe it is free
  6.  Sorry to bump this DK but I just saw it.  Oh man, ... the hair.. such a nice touch
  7. I don't want to spoil anything for any one who hasn't had the chance to see the episode yet. There is a plethora of ways available on the internet to research the show if you feel so inclined. I don't have the time to break down the whole series, sorry.
  8. DK trust me, I didn't spoil anything lol. That's just my opinion on what direction one aspect of the story is going. It's not even the tip of the iceberg.
  9. For those of you who watch it, last nights show ticked me off. What about you?
  10. There used to be a time when older equaled wiser. There used to be a time when you respected your elders because they had life experience, and it was viewed as a precious resource. Now we have an argument regarding the older generation as gullible and unintelligent individuals simply perpetuating lies and propaganda due to their lack of reasoning and intelligence. Perhaps however, because lack of age, experience, and wisdom, the accuser is the one believing the lies and propaganda.
  11. If she's going there, it MUST be getting serious. They can keep her.
  12. I don't know if this has been pointed out already but, the Government did create the internet in a sense, but with the intent of having better communication for defense. The business aspect of it was just a result of how fast it became almost a necessity and a household item so to speak. It was NOT a strategic move by Government research to create business.
  13. I don't know why people are making such a big deal out of this. I thought it was funny. Give the guy a break he's 82 years old. We only need to worry if he still talks to an invisible Obama when he's not on stage
  14. Well first off, a common misconception is that IQ and Intelligence are the same thing. That doesn't mean everything about pot is good or OK, I don't think kids should be messing with anything at too young of an age. After 18 though is a different story, not that your mind has fully developed, but if you are able to carry a gun and sign up to die for this country then I say you should have the freedom to make other choices about your life as well. IMHO of course. I will have to notify some one in administration or guidance at my school, surely my near 4.0 is a tragic mistake. I had a crazy stage between 16 and 18 lol
  15. You are so totally off base it isn't even funny. Weed has been found to actually reduce and/or slow the growth of tumors. It has helped cancer patients and AIDS Patients regain appetite and fight off nausea. The benefits of hemp alone could put an end to deforestation, can be used as a bio fuel, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Alcohol however, harms EVERY single organ of the body, and is rarely consumed in only small amounts. I think you just sit there and try to think of new ways to be completely wrong and offensive, it's kinda funny.
  16. I gave him a +1 for ya
  17. If they are having all these symptoms just from seeing a cross, I would suggest that maybe they are vampires.
  18. I think you are only weak minded if you don't take the time to read the information you are given to form your own opinion. It is rather easy to ignore the warning signs and to shrug off any thought that may make you uncomfortable and justify that by assuming the ones behind it are weak minded conspiracy theorist, but please keep in mind when things go strait down hill while our liberties are being slowly stripped away, most of the bright people at Harvard will more than likely be cheering it on. If you don't think our government uses scare tactics to try and control the peoples opinions all you have to do is take a look at Obama's campaign adds against Romney. He's not outlining what he wants to do if he continues to be president, instead he's telling people how big bad evil Romney is going to over turn Roe Vs. Wade. Basically he's saying "keep me as president or else". Personally how ever, I don't really care what people at Harvard think. I know that you have to have a rather high level of intelligence (and income) to attend, but that doesn't mean they are automatically right. But for you to state that some one is weak minded for looking deeper into a situation rather than taking everything at face value is not only insulting but rather scary. At some point people are going to have to realize that our government has been dishonest with us for a very, very long time. It is unfortunate however, that by the time they do it will most likely be too late. Then the same people who tossed aside many of these "conspiracy theories" are going to be asking themselves "how did we not see this coming?"
  19. It's because Sarah didn't have the patience for Gods plan to come into place. She told Abraham to lay with their maid Hagar so God could bring a son that way. After which Hagar got a bit of an attitude, and made it difficult for Sarah. Isaac was the son God had intended, because it would of been a miracle considering Sarah had already gone through menopause and shouldn't of been able to bear a child. Ishmael was the son brought on by impatience and trying to do the work by human means instead of letting God do it, God still blessed him, because he made Abraham a promise.
  20. The title of this thread makes me want to start another thread of George Carlin jokes...
