I remain cautiously optimistic! Everyone has been so jaded by all of those pumping - Whoever brings the intel for the real RV will undoubtedly be bashed terribly.

I think the negative posts are by those who have a hard time with the ups and downs of the news & pumps. Perhaps they put too much faith/hope in what the pumpers say - then get stressed. Now the pumpers ..... Theeeey wan't attention (maybe some of them comission). Go RV 2011 - Q2

No doubt there are a lot of pumpers out there ... But that doesn't make this speculation a scam. You sound like your disapointed, perhaps you had an unrealistic expectation and didn't get rich as quickly as you thought - who doesn't want to get rich quick. The fact is most speculations that have any merit, generally take time to mature. While it may be hard to beleive that a dinar could value at $3 - $4 USD each. It is even harder for me to beleive that a country as rich as Iraq, with a people so full of pride and neighboring countries that have valuable currencies, wouldn't have a currency that increases in value. The Dinar increasing in value is a very logical conclusion. To what degree and when is the speculative portion of this investment. The dinars hold real value against the US Dollar - they can be bought and sold. The entire country of Iraq uses the currency every day to buy and sell goods and they are phasing out any other currency (US Dollar) from being used to buy and sell goods within Iraq. If you bought a refrigerator, car or furniture in 2010, I doubt you could sell it for just a few hundred dollars less than you bought it for. Your usage of the word SCAM just doesn't make sense.

Still Down .... Again!

Sooner or later everyone in this investment has to feel like they understand how this is all going to work out. Getting to that point is a process. The borders are presently controlled to keep the flow of large bills out of the country. Seperate economies have been created - internally/externally to iraq. Banking in Iraq is seperate from banking with Dinar's out of country. An in country LOP will no doubt be necessary. The RV and LD will have to coincide with one another, no question about it. Externally, agreements between banks and the CBI create different oportunities on how to handle the RV. There are quite a few existing threads and posts that explain the flow and conversion of Dinar through the worldwide banking system. Grace & Peace

I have some frineds who have taken Dave's Financial Peace University - They have great things to say about it. Have also heard there was a call in that Dave took regarding investing in the Iraqi Dinar - He said to stay away. This investment probably carries to much risk for him to directly advise someone to invest. Go RV 2011!!!

IMO the buyback of $900 was artificially high to create the appearance of more value along with the higher purchase price. The actual value without a spread, circulated or not, was $855 per 1M IQD. With the buyback high DT could command a higher sell price. Now that there is less demand, the buy price needs to fall back in line with actual value. I see it as a good sign that we are moving closer to supply and demand driving the price. It also tells us that sales are down and more people are choosing to cash out, perhaps because of a lack of confidence or just can't handle the ups and downs of the ride. Grace & Peace

We need this Bad!! / The World needs this bad!! Does anyone think that M might be trying to time this thing with our governments wishes - maybe in sync with something we haven't considered? We have UST people over there now raising the level of accountability in banking tranactions etc. It doesn't seem like we would leave until this is done and our presence would keep the pressure to perform the tranaction high.

I don't think China is the hold-up. If they care at all - You would think an RV would be a good vehicle for the Chinese to look strong by the repayment of some US debt, through taxation, without forgiveness of debt or even a modification in the value of the Yuan. Not to mention any IQD held by China can be used for the purchase of Oil from Iraq. I think the hold up is Iraq. We see by the news articles that they have investors pouring in every day - without an RV. After an RV, investment may be thought to be less attractive from the ME point of view. The cost of everything rises post RV. Iraq is getting investment commitments without an RV. Money is pouring in from the sale of Dinar and Oil - Both of which cost very little for Iraq to produce. Many speculate the last 21B payment was made by the US - If that is the case, doing nothing (little) works for these guys. Eventually an RV needs to take place for WT commitments and just sheer pride to be maintained in the ME neighborhood. I think the ministers being seated is just a protracted rouse to put off an RV and part of M's game to maximize the process for his own political gain. Quite frankly, The demonstrations have been quelled without an RV. If I was M I would be deeply worried about backlash from the masses and politically. I want this thing to happen yesterday, but IMHO it's clear the GOI is in no hurry for this to happen. They only do what is necessary to maintain the status quo, it's not the Chinese holding this thing up. Go RV 2011 !!!
