  1. I for one, completely agree with you keepm. Granted, it will happen...eventually...., There is no need to take every small little detail and twist into something that says this must rv now. Like the Paris Club.... NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING in it says that it has to RV by 12.31.2010. Only thing remotely close is the part with Russia. They want to keep the oil contracts with halliburton for 01,01,2011. Thats it. Thats all it says. Nothing that says it must. I know this thread isnt about that, but I felt it necessary to include it. I do think it'll happen, I dont think it'll be overnight...But hey I could be wrong. And I dont think its going to make us all millionaires overnight. It would be nice, but i dont see it happening that quick. They need to get their crap in order first. I'd be happy with just making my money back for now.
  2. You get the point across without the size 6 font, lol. I have changed it for you... That big font hurts
  3. Even if they do not have unlimited bandwidth, I dont see how they can run out in 5 days?????? Thats a lot, and i mean a lot of people going to that site to run it out in 5 days
  4. Hell yeah!!! I just sent an email! :lmao: :twothumbs: :twothumbs: Received reply, Promo Code to enter is OKIE
  5. currency currency Definition Any form of money that is in public circulation. Currency includes both hard money (coins) and soft money (paper money). Typically currency refers to money that is legally designated as such by the governing body, but in some cultures currency can refer to any object that has a perceived value and can be exchanged for other objects. Read more: http://www.investorwords.com/1240/currency.html#ixzz19Z6Xxna1 It cannot be argued.........
  6. Interesting... You make a logical statement, and get SLAMMED with NEGATIVE reps. Interesting. I want to rephrase what you said though.... Deadline by 31st... They arent flat out lying to you... You see, they see the agreement with Russia in it about the oil contracts with Halliburton still going through.. They are set for 01.01.2011 So, people have just been twisting the wording a little bit to make it sound a lot better, lol. As far as EOY deadline for RV, no, there is none that has been RELEASED. This does not mean that one does not exist. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE on this site or any other site truly knows if one exists. Think about it, would they really release it to the public?? Thats like the Florida Lottery getting on the news and saying " Hey Florida, the Winning Numbers for TOMORROWS $54,000,000,00 Jackpot are going to be 05-08-01-03-12.. Its common sense.. They wont release it if it does exist. Rate over $1.00. I am going to have to disagree with you on that one. I truly believe it will pass the dollar in value IN TIME. I believe it will be valued well under the dollar and gradually rise as the country becomes more stable and thrives on the economy. Foreign Investors due to lack of tradable currency.... You say that its not necessary to have a tradeable currency with foreign investors.. You are right to a certain extent. Technically I would be considered a foreign investor if I packed up everything I have here, moved myself and my business to Iraq and started my business over there. Technically I am a foreigner... In a sense, and investing. I currently own several businesses, and honestly, I would never vest my business in Iraq if the currency is not tradable. It just wouldnt make sense. It would be a PITA to open a Warka Account, deposit the money as IQD, then convert it to USD, then wait however long for the money to arrive to me. Iraq will not always have money because of the oil the have... Case in point. THE PRESENT. They dont have any money right now. Infact the sand they walk on is worth more than the money they have. Unless they RV it, or introduce yet another currency with a higher value, very few companies are going to come in and harvest all the resources they have for a worthless currency. Just my
  7. Yeah, but keep in mind, its been a currency since 2003
  8. Agreed. Couldn't have stated it better. It is going to be a slow, somewhat steady rise in the value. It'll be a rollercoaster, and top out somewhere around $1.50 in 3 years or so if they can somehow manage to stop strapping c4 to their chests and going boom in the middle of downtown. I mean cmon, they are an extremely unstable country still. Just today it was reported that some jackal decided it would be fun to strap a damn bomb to his chest and run into a police station... Killing the commander of the police station.. Cmon now, they still have a lot of work to do before they can have a very valuble currency. If ( and I say IF very loosely), they get it together, I see it going at high as $2.00 in 4 years+. Until then, High end is going to be $1.50.... TOPS
  9. Agreed. Couldn't have stated it better. It is going to be a slow, somewhat steady rise in the value. It'll be a rollercoaster, and top out somewhere around $1.50 in 3 years or so.
  10. Doesnt really matter that you got it from a bank. I doubt you paid true exchange rates. All banks get them from an outside vendor. Usually The Bank of Ireland and they charge a service fee. Thats because it more than likely will NOT go BAM 4.99 overnight. No one has a damn switch to flip to make it happen, lol. The economy, government, and Entire damn country has to be well, stable, and prospering for it value extremely high. If you do research, Kuwait was completely fine when they RV'd. Iraq is far from it. I say its going to happen shortly... Maybe 0.25 on the high end, then SLOWLY increase. Iraq still has a lot of S*** to get worked out. They are still an extremely unstable country. They could do a 180 very easily right now. Especially once we leave. And that crap about ships waiting in port for a valued currency before anything is unloaded.... That is BS. they receive shipments everyday. Look up the receive logs on the port. Someone posted a link yesterday to it in Rumors. Anyway, i do not believe it will just go boom. It will go boom to $0.25 then increase... or something to that nature... That is just my REALISTIC opinion though.
  11. I meant to add this one in also. This truly is a flat line
  12. All controlled currencies do that for the most part. Look here And here and here and here Nothing to get too concerned about
  13. I can't find anything that has to do with money policies either. I bought into the Dinar for one reason and one reason only.. I have been buying between 100,000 - 200,000 dinar every month for the past year and a half. And plan to buy more in 2011, 2012...catch my drift here? I am not going crazy. I have been investing in currency for awhile now and know what makes sense and what doesn't make sense. I firmly believe that the Dinar WILL go up in value ( it is too undervalued for a country with that many resources). But, it is not going to make me a multi-millionaire overnight. I just do not see it happening. I see it steadily growing up in value over the next few years. I believe by 2013 it will be at par with the dollar ( possibly past it depending on how fast the dollar devalues). I do not seeing it going from worthless to 4.00 overnight. That would be too much a shock to the market everywhere else. They would go from being one of the poorest currencies to one of the richest overnight... I do not believe it will be like Kuwait per se. It will increase, but not like what people want. Its a long term investment. So is the dong and south korea. I would recommend getting in on them also. Both of them are going to be major players in manufacturing in 10-20 years. You will start seeing "made in korea and made in vietnam stickers alot more in a decade. Obviously the currency will increase in value as well. People are stuck on what happened with Kuwait and just assume it will happen again... Well, I just don't see it. I see it happening, but over time. This is not going to be a get rich quick program.. But then again, this is just my own opinion. I could very easily be wrong.
  14. Someone beat me to this already....But I am just curious... How were you able to acquire them at BIA in 2004? Okay, You already answered it
  15. You beat me to it. I was just about to post that.
  16. I don't really have an answer for that. Except for the fact that a lot of people on here don't want to hear facts that oppose an RV in the near future. That I have noticed. You give facts with proof and get negative reps. But then again, thats mainly in the Rumor section from what I see. So, again, I don't have an answer for you.
  17. No, I don't believe you are wrong. I have read it several times now and cannot find anything either. Didn't post anything before for the fact that I didnt feel like getting bashed on, lol.
  18. Hmm, cant figure out why someone gave you a negative rep for that comment????
  19. Well, then I need to correct my previous statement. I forgot that the Misitry of Iraq "opted out" of DST in 2008 ( 2008 was the last year they observed it). So, therefore, 3pmEST, does in fact make it midnight in Iraq. Thank you for posting that rebuttal. I appreciate it.
  20. Jack... I felt the need to correct you on this one. 3PM EST is not midnight in Iraq. They are on UTC +03:00 time, which makes 3pm EST Monday, December 27,2010 11:00PM December 27,2010 in Baghdad. The math just doesn't work out. Here is the bottom line. And no, I am not a pessimist. I am very optimistic actually. The truth is, NO ONE on these sites know when it is going to happen. Absolutely no one. It is nothing but educated guesses and just plain uneducated guesses. It would be nice if the people on here would post proof that their supposed Intel gave them on a specific date, but alas that has not happened ( I have been viewing on this site for a few years, just registered and this is my first post). It is just people who get a temporary " high " off of them thinking that they just made people very excited. It makes them feel like a king so to speak. They take documents and twist the wording to their liking and make it justify what they just threw out at everybody. Now everybody who bought these Dinar want a RV, everybody. Otherwise they never would of bought them. Myself included. I have bought 15 million over the past few years knowing that this is a long term investment. I truthfully do not believe it will just go from worthless to Fort Knox literally overnight. Then again, I could be wrong. I see it being RV'd to a minimum amount overnight ( and not 3.25... More like 0.25-0.50), then gradually floating up over time as Iraq's economy increases and prospers. If it did literally go from being worth 1/10 of a penny to 3.25 overnight, that would be great. However, it would be a massive shock to the world market. Iraq would go from one of the weakest currencies/economies to being one of the richest overnight. I just don't see that happening. It's really common sense when you think about it. Think about the South Korean WON for example. That is going to be a great LONG term investment also. They are the most developed emerging markets right now. And in a decade, their undervalued currency will be RV and make the savvy investor a lot of money. I will go more into detail about this, but seeing as this site is about the Dinar, I will not. So, I see the Dinar being RV to a bottom line shortly ( could be days, weeks or month, no one knows really.). The Paris Treaty does NOT say that they have to RV by EOY for debt to be forgiven. If you are going to say I am misinformed on this, post a link that directly takes me to where it says in the treaty that they MUST RV by EOY. Though, I believe you will be wasting your time in doing so. Dont just say I'm wrong with no proof to back it up. Anyway, that's my input.
