I have not heard a word yet on the meeting. I did hear some news that stung a little bit, but I am not surprised. Had a meeting today and this Col. in the SF, and in the IZ. I have dealt with him for a while now. We got to talking about all the rumors that Maliki would be PM agian and I heard any day now. He then stated " Don't hold your breath. It could be sometime in March before a PM is seated" He also stated that they are kicking around the idea of maybe holding a new election and amending their constitution to a winner take all type of deal. Caution::::::: I am not best friends with this guy we just talk in meetings from time to time, IMO he has no reason to make this up, but then agian how much " in the know " is anybody really. This is a rumor off of intel from someone else people, and I did not ask him if he was sure or where he got it from. Don't shoot the messenger, I am just passing along everything I hear good or bad.

By the way, on average how much of this stuff (Dinars) are most shlubs like us sitting on? Anyone care to share? I have 7M Not many will share that info, but I think you are around right around the average, from everyone I talk to.

I am not a betting man, but if forced to....... The odds of collapse are probally better. Obama seems to want it and the R's don;'t take office until next year so, he still has time to get that done. You know build his resume so to speak, The odds of a RV anytime soon, well we have all kept an eye on Iraq for years know folks, and some things have changed, but the Iraqi's have not. Someone should set some odds on this and we can get a pool going for entertainment purposes only, of course. Just to pass the time until one or the other or both happens.

Very true, and thee guys can hold a grudge also. I am afriad that nither will back down until one of them drives past a VBIED. I think they are going to have to have another election to settle this and that in itself could take months. If they get busy on it know that is. It's OK people it is Iraq we all know that. It has always been a long term investment, we all know that also. Take the good with the bad, and don't get too high or too low. It will happen whenever it happens and on day we can all look back and tell our grandkids the story of IQD when they ask " Grandpa where did all the money for my college come from?"

I placed an order for 4 mil with my guy in Baghdad and I have not seen him in 5 days, he usually has it to me in 2 to 3 days.

Looks like the are about 6 T-walls short, It will not pass force protection requirements. Thye could be new or old, I have some 5 years old that look that good and some 6 months old that look worse. I will say this that in the past week there have been a few local national trucks loading up T-walls over by the Stryker tunnel.

5.27 or higher???? that is just insane. IMHO I would hope for anything over .40 in the next 2 to3 years. If is goes beyond that time frame, then I would be disapointed, Anything over .86 I would be excited as a kid on Christmas with a new bike. When I got into this thing I thought long term, like 10 or 15 years. Not much has changed since then. They still fight with and kill each other, they have for a thousand years and will not stop any time soon. They can't get the GOI on the smae page. They need everything from basic electricity to public schools and hospitals. Their security forces and IP are corrupt as the Govt. and not picking up on or learning the training they recieve. I just hope that somehow they can get thier act together and we can get out of here by the end of 2011, but honestly I just don't see it. Some of them know about it and some don't. Most could probally care less, when you make what they do and get the tax breaks they get and the salary for life, and insurance and kickbacks, and pork laden bills and bonus checks, I could go on and on. They are not like many of us who have to work hard 6 and 7 days a week to just get by. So it is not something on top of their list I would guess

I fhave no idea if it is related to anything or not, BUT at present I work next to BIAP and yesterday there was an abnormal amount of take offs. It seemed like every 3 or 4 minutes a plane was taking off. I did notice a few landing also and i never used to notice the landings before. ... Just saying.
