PLEASE tell your son that at least one man in Utah is in total awe of the heart of him and all the young people like him. What greater deed can a person do? What more can a person give? To say thank you to him and the others is not nearly enough but thank you and thank you dad for the true man you've raised. I believe I can truly say that many if not most of the folks on this site feel the same. Thanks for the thoughts Drox. I hate it when you make me think. This is whole bunch of food for thought. I'm kinda in a quandry though. I don't disagree with you but neither do I agree as a whole. Date & rate, we all know how that dog hunts but I question some of your points. You speak of oil being only a one industry country. Absolutely oil is THE industry but they do have many other. Mining, farming, salt,water,etc. are insignificant compared to the oil but strong industries nonetheless. Something else to consider is all the outside countries and contractors working inside Iraq. From my experience in global based industries,(mostly oil field) when they go into other countries, they can only bring in Key Personel. Meaning bosses, managers only. The rest of the workforce has to be local or indigenous peoples. Then you have the supporting businesses that will employ locals and on and on. Farmers will keep farming, miners will keep mining. You get the picture but these lesser industries will grow also. The main point is, for growth to happen, it's gonna cost and it won't be pretty but they gotta do it. Maybe you can't grow an oak in a pot but you can get one off to a good start in one. Forgive me if I missed the point but this is part of what I got out of it. Excellent post though.
