  1. Copied from another site: Message from Phoenix about Lakehouse's Blog East Meets West Closing 07/22/2011 (I was asked by Phoenix to post his below message, as well as Lakehouse followup posting.) I would like to pass along a goodbye from Lakehouse. She would like to thank everyone for their readership of her blog over these past few years. She has now closed down her blog "Going Global - East Meets West" to allow herself time to finish her book that she has been working on. So with that I would like to say goodbye, good luck and thank you from Lakehouse. Phoenix (and her response) Thanks guys. It was fun but it's time to focus on other things. My book is a work in progress and it should be a good read (at least to all those who have followed this investment). The book is a mix of history and personal stories that are funny, shocking, unbelievable, and enlightening. It will focus on the characters who have made this investment fun and those who have made it a living hell (to be blunt:). The hard part about putting this book together is that there are so many different subjects to touch upon. The name of the book ... tentatively .. 'From the Beginning' ... Thank you for following and reading Going Global and I hope that it kept you positive and confident. Remember ... All Good Things Come to Those who Wait (and do the right thing) May your blessings be many! will continue to update ... Lakehouse I would like to thank Lakehouse for her amazing site which has kept me grounded throughout the time I have been invested. Until I found her blog, I bought in to the rumor mill. Best wishes to you, Lakehouse. I can't wait to read your book! (I hope she sees this!)
  2. Knowing about the trillions of dinar holdings and listening to politicians in this debt 'crisis,' has made me realize that Americans are totally bamboozled by these charlatans. The debt will not be paid, because it is not in the interest of our government to be solvent. Politics is about power. Money is power, and debt has power. The mantra from this current administration is "The rich have a debt to pay to the poor. After all, didn't the rich become rich on the backs of the poor?" Keeping the poor 'poor' is a part of the game. That's why the current administration will not be paying off debt, but instead seek to tax all of us dinarians out of more of the proceeds of our investment to gain more power.
  3. I think Congress should be limited to meeting for one session per year lasting about one month. Their perks should be limited to expenses for that month only. Benefits should reflect benefits earned in the private sector. This would change the kind of person wishing to serve as a Congressman.
  4. Phoenix said in his radio show that he watched the president's news conference yesterday after the meeting at the White House re: the raising of the debt ceiling. O came out and made a statement that on Sunday evening we will meet again, and we will know the 'bottom line.' He accepted no questions. A reporter asked about details, and stated Reps and Dems were told not to tell what was discussed. (ie gag order) Boehner said, prior to the WH meeting, that they looking for something big in the next 48 hours, if it does then things will work out well, if not it will take a long time. (in discussing the raising of the debt ceiling)
  5. Reposting this here for those who listen to Phoenix. Perhaps Phoenix will see this? From Juni at PD. I'm posting this through copy and paste only iPhone so pls forgive me if links are broken, I will fix them later... From Juni: As per Phoenix's statement about the Bremer laws -- specifically, his reference as an example of how is Iraq selling oil now if the HCL is not yet passed and implying they are operating under a Saddam era oil law..... The current oil law is a 2006 law, not some Saddam era law supposedly in effect because they theorize the Bremer law was repealed and therefore the old law 'resurrected' from the dead (utter nonsense and legally illogical...sorry). The current oil law is found here: http://www.oil.gov.i...GAL%20legal.pdf You will never guess where I found it. The Ministry of Oil website. When a law is repealed, and more particularly, when a CPA Bremer Order is repealed, it is always replaced with "duly enacted legislation". Excerpt: " “[T]he 2004 Transitional Administrative Law in Article 26 does state that-- "The laws, regulations, orders, and directives issued by the Coalition Provisional Authority pursuant to its authority under international law shall remain in force until rescinded or amended by legislation duly enacted and having the force of law.” http://gjpi.org/2009...da-and-notices/ Since I apparently cannot comment on his blog Perhaps someone who knows him could pass along this factual information to him. Juni 0 The intent of this posting is NOT to bash! The intent is to bring information to the table for evaluation! Please be respectful when posting
  6. I remember a bible story of old where the Philistines (Palestinians) had stolen the ark of the covenant, and they were stricken with hemmorrhoids!
  7. Thanks for posting this a while back. I think those babies are getting ready to fly!
  8. Phoenix, I can't thank you enough. I appreciated when you used to post here. You always had factual information. I can't thank Lakehouse enough either. Going Global is what has kept me grounded during this ride. Sorry for the 'trolls' because they ruined it for me.... I'd like to be on your forum. Thanks for keeping Gimme Shelter and Going Global public. Best wishes for a great RV.
  9. I listened to asdf's podcast entitled Babylon Rising. he says the negative sign means that that is not the real rate. He talks about it near the beginning of the podcast, so you don't have to listen to the whole thing. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/asdf/2011/06/04/the-train-kept-a-rollin
  10. In my area, there are those who easily collect from 3 separate entities: Maryland, DC and Virginia. They simply have a group of three friends each with an address in each locality. They then use the addresses and collect welfare and food stamps X3!!!! There is no accounting for the monies from state to state, so it probably is taking place along the borders of every state! In addition to drug testing, any funds for support should be double checked, address and social security number, through a centralized network before being distributed.
  11. I remember this name but can't remember my take on his intel... I'm for it! RV now!
  12. Clarification: George is a member of Frankly Speaking not DV!
