  1. I think that there is just a lot of unecessary hype and paranoid people about cashing in.....especially with Ali....to think that since he has your account number that he would steal your money back or do something funny after he wires your funds is ridiculous....your talking federal charges of fraud.....he is a good buisness man...not some shmuck off ebay....and he is going to have serious security in place for everyone because he wants your buisness WHEN it revalues and he will beat banks rates as well....and I can guarantee he will know at least a week in advance before it RV's.....being in that position as a currency dealer he will be given a heads up....not to mention branch managers at banks will probly know too....ive spoken with many bank employees and they do get that kind of info before it happens....i know some that were told about black friday before it hit as well as when a bunch of those banks went belly up....it comes along with the buisness.....
  2. They COULD have stopped working because there is no govt in place to pass the economic reforms needed to continue progress but not because they arent getting paid with a currency worth something and that they must RV for them to continue working.....thats a little far fetched at this point otherwise they never would of started working in the first place....
  3. No you didnt miss it because it never happened and was never stated!! This is just an example of how people take simple info and twist it into a statement or rumor to make it seem like they have to RV right now....GE is getting paid otherwise they wouldnt be doing work.....no one would be doing work over in Iraq if they werent getting paid plain and simple......Its funny how E really believes this though....and this is exactly why I dont read the posts from these so called "gurus" its laughable really it is.....
  4. They cant offer a 40% lottery tax on the Dinar....currency exchange is a simple captial gains issue when its over $250 I think it was.....most from what I have heard from people that work in the federal government is that no matter how long you have had it, that its considered short term capital gains....but there is no way they can oppose a 40% lottery tax on currency exchange no matter how much it is....
  5. Exactly.....well put......do you hear that Traconesu02? sounds like crickets........chirp chirp......chirp chirp.......
  6. First off the reason it is not recognized in the banks IS NOT because its what you seem to call the "unofficial currency" of Iraq.......its placed on a list called the OFAC list I believe and that is for countries that are seen as harmful to the US and are under economic or trade sanctions based on US foreign policy and national security....which is why most people wonder why even now that they havent been taken off the list yet, seeing as how we have literally started them over as a country.....secondly, i will continue to laugh because of the fact that the DINAR has been in place in Iraq since 1932 as the currency of IRAQ and issued by the CENTRAL BANK OF IRAQ......so if you want to continue to view a 70+ year old currency as "temporary" then be my guest......the only thing that has changed is the FACE.....and yes they can change the FACE again if they wanted too.....but in the end what we have is STILL the DINAR and STILL issued by the CENTRAL BANK OF IRAQ.....at the point they are at right now rebuilding its a little too late for them to come out and say "oh yea, world, by the way we are now going to use the yuan or the pound as our currency" hahaha sorry but that will not happen and it doesnt take a guru to figure this kind of stuff out.......no one is switching feet my dude.....just calling it how it is....for what it is.....and how it is.....thank you come again...... Nothing to worry about in my eyes..... Article 31 right above clearly is stated that the national monetary unit for Iraq SHALL be the dinar.....and after reading article 32 it doesnt point to me that they will or have brought the idea up or changing from the dinar to something completely different.....and continues to say that they are obligated to honor the bills they issue under their law.....
  7. Thank you for your positive comments!! I sent him a copy of what you said and I know it will make him work even harder then before knowing that people like what they are hearing!!! I feel the same way as you that this time he has hit the nail on the head with his music and I dont think he is far at all right now at this point from getting a record deal seeing who is showing him alot of attention right now....Just a matter of time before you see him in music stores and before you see me on tour right next to him!! As far as your comments about my posts on the Dinar thanks again my friend, I try to throw a different perspective into the mix far from the norm that you see day to day and keep a more levelheaded and realistic view here on our investment, to try and keep people from experiencing the dreaded roller coaster affect

  10. Yep!! So less talk and more action!!! Put your money where your mouth is and do what you say.....enough with the talking already.....actions speak louder then words.....
  11. Hahaha the Iraqi Dinar HAS BEEN their currency for decades....there is no "this particular dinar" its still the Iraqi Dinar....just a different face....which doesnt change the fact that it is STILL the IRAQI DINAR....... thats like telling me that the new american dollar bills that are coming out arent officially our currency just because the face and design might have changed a little.....guess what? its still the american dollar bills no matter how you slice it my friend......and its still our official currency.....last time i checked we werent using the mexican peso, or the canadian dollar....just the AMERICAN DOLLAR..... hey whadda you know?
  12. Rogue your statement was...... "The dinar we have all purchased has never even been declared the official currency to start with no matter what we want and believe me I want this too. I simply look at the realities of this situation since it is real." Where have you been before you came here? Is this the kind of stuff you have been taught?? The Iraqi Dinar has been their official currency for DECADES......you can look it up....
  13. Do you really think that if this was a scam that ANY bank at all would touch it? Yet there are plenty of banks that you can walk right in and purchase it from......these arent just local small banks either....some of them are national chains of banks.....if they are buying and selling it then this currency s legit....like some have said alot of the negativity you are hearing is just for the fact that most people cant fathom Iraq actually pulling themselves together and running themselves without there being some kind of civil war and them blowing eachother back into the stone ages....I think alot of it is just a matter of opinion....instead of having faith in them, its just so much easier to downplay and throw negativity in their face, and thats true with alot of things in life....its easier for people to think bad or negatively in life then to think good or positive and alot of that just has to do with the things that we see day to day....not to mention these currency dealers we are purchasing from are registered with the US treasury and have to follow rules and regulations put in place by them to sell these foreign currencies....as much as you want to think badly of our govt I highly doubt if this was a huge international scam that the US treasury of all people would play a part in this?? You know the liability they have in something like this? Selling a fake currency or a huge scam of worthless currency would have dramatic reprocussions on them as a dept of the US.....Just keep the faith....this has been in the works for YEARS to come and nothing will stop it from happening.....the US took on a huge responsibility invading Iraq and taking over the country....we have to prove to the world that what we did was right, and that we went in there to better the lives of the Iraqi people....if they fail, we fail...and it would show we had no right to go in there and change the way of living for all those people cause it would prove they were better off with Saddam in control and the UN and other world leaders would highly disapprove of the US and anything we are trying to accomplish in the world....Have faith....this will happen......but in baby steps....thats why it has taken this long to begin with....let them get situated and we will all see what we have been hoping for.....the Iraqis will prove the world wrong and will be able once again to flourish in the ME as a economically stable country....
  14. Would be very interesting if this is true.....the lowest denomination we have out now is the 50 dinar note.....what we need to see is smaller then that and we will know that the time is here!!! As far as the coins go yes silvergreetings or whatever it is has the smaller coins that were released in 2004 and then retracted because they were unpopular and pretty much useless in the marketplace....those coins are pretty much just collectors items unless they release the newer ones and they are the same face.....the 25 dinar notes that someone said they have seen on ebay are definately the older ones and ARE probly worth more then the ones we have now Now if only we could get someone to verify that the Warka banks have these in the back waiting to be distributed....that would be the best news of the year!! Please, please, please someone go undercover, do whatever you have to do to get a glimpse of those dinar so i can start spending my money in my head Which article are you referring too?
  15. Its not like he is way off base....it would be a little much for Iraq to be able to pull everything together in such a small time period when it probly takes them at least 4 hours every morning just to figure out what they are going to wear for the day....I still think getting the PM seated before the end of July is REALLY trying.....especially if Maliki and Allawi's blocs join together....then ALL the negotiations will end up starting over from scratch....of course I would love for them to prove me wrong but even if they do get the PM chosen I dont quite see Shabibi squeezing the trigger this month.....would be better suited to wait instead of trying to cram everything into the remaining days of this month....
  16. I believe it was stated Al-Sistani will take the healms to form the govt if they cant figure it out 30 days from when they pick the president......
  17. WOW....who woulda ever thought maliki and allawi's bloc joining forces to form the govt....I bet NOBODY saw this coming!!! Not even the lord himself!
  18. I only mentioned the GE thing because you threw it in your post like 5 billion times so it seemed to me that you were kinda stuck on that issue....sorry for going off of what you mentioned most in your post....anways to continue, your speaking of if the currency goes up in value then wages go up? well lets look at it this way....if your making lets say 100,000 dinar now a month and the currency value goes up, to reach that same value that you were being paid before (value as in purchasing power) you would actually need to pay out less to reach the same "valued amount" because you wouldnt need to recieve 100,000 dinar to get that same value as you were being paid before, to get the same purchasing power that you had before you would recieve less dinar, but since the value went up it actually almost works out to be the same in the long run....it all balances out when you change the value of a currency....even when purchasing things....if a loaf of bread costs 3,000 dinar before and now its only 3 dinar, you are paying less, everything you need to buy to live goes down in price so for you to recieve twice of what your making before just because the value of the currency goes up is overkill....do you see what I am getting at? you will recieve LESS dinar physically, but the value of your dinar is more then what is was so the purchasing power of the dinar goes way up, NOT your actual salary....they are getting paid more physical dinar now to make up for the lack of purchasing power....but when the value skyrockets, you wont need that same amount or even more to continue living day to day....there is a big difference in value and purchasing power and what they would be recieving as salaries....so in essence, it wouldnt drive up the costs of producing oil just for raising the value of a currency....it all balances out....they will get paid less but the purchasing power is what goes way up....ok now for the oil prices...there is a reason why its all done in US dollars....im not saying that if it revalues and their cost is 70 a barrel that we will end up paying 140.....its done in US dollars for a reason because that price in US dollars is the SAME for everyone....but what it takes each country to get to that 70 US dollars is whats different....thats where a countries currency value comes into play.....a lower valued country has to pay more of their own currency to equal out to that 70 a barrel then as would another country that is closer to par on the US dollar....so yes your right a countries exchange rate has nothing to do with the contract price of a barrel of oil because its all laid out in US dollars, they do that to make these transactions and contracts easier to deal with and pay because of the widespread use of the dollar...its a set rate that doesnt change much and is what most countries peg their own currency to....Im not quite sure why you believe that Iraq has no control over their destiny or the RV because alot of it depends on Iraq coming together and preparing themselves to be able to handle such a process.....yes they are still under sanctions from the UN, and the world bank and IMF have some to do with this process as well but Shabibi has been given control again of the exchange rate of the Dinar, but he must be sure that the IMF and World bank so to speak pave the way so that he can raise the value and things will be in place and in order to handle it....so yes so to speak someone else has the keys but in the end shabibi now has the control of releasing it....I hope that the way I explained the wages and salaries was in such that you could understand what I was saying....its really more simple then what your letting it be....
  19. Can anyone verify this?? Seems to be horrible news for Warka account holders if this holds to be true......
  20. Sounds to me that you have been reading too many chats by these so called "gurus" and not actually paying attention to the facts and doing your own reading and research......of course there isent going to be 19 countries RVing at the same time, thats just ridiculous to think of in the first place.....that they would all get together and say "hey, you know what lets all do this at once and amaze the world" every country is different and to even think that the IDQ and VND will RV at the same time is a little off....they are still two different countries and there is not a plot to keep people from "double dipping".....currency trading happens all day everyday and countries dont get together to see how they can keep investors from making any money.....now as far as this GE thing, no one ever said it was GE waiting for contracts to be paid to continue work....again if you read and do research for yourself someone else came up with that idea from what Sonny1 predicted just because they saw an article about GE doing work in Iraq and they just ASSUMED that it was GE everyone was talking about waiting to get paid....regardless Iraq has many ways of paying buisness contracts without absolutely having to RV...I do believe that Sonny1 got some credible information about contracts being paid but that doesnt mean 100% that Iraq will have to RV or that they will on a certain date, because this isent about a certain date that this will happen....it will happen when they accomplish what needs to be done first before being able to RV/RI.....its a long process and its been planned for years now and there isent much that will keep this "plan" from unfolding....now about the oil issue and you believing that they are better off NOT raising the value of their currency.....if my memory serves me correct, Iraq would benefit tremendously from a higher value currency....especially if its higher then they countries buying oil from them.....when you are exporting lets say oil to a country that has a lower valued currency then you, they end up paying MORE to get that exported to their country....if you shoot high and have one of the most valued currencies in the world then EVERYONE is paying MORE to get that oil from you....not to mention it works to their advantage in the other direction too....If Iraq has a higher valued currency then who they are buying imported goods from, they are paying LESS then what they normally would to get outside products and goods imported into their country....having a higher valued currency does not mean that the price of production will go up....that stays the same and for Iraq, it will stay very cheap to produce because they dont have to really drill deep for it....production prices will stay low and the amount of profit will go up if they RV because other countries will be paying MORE just to get it exported from Iraq.....they only stand to benefit tremendously from a RV/RI......this isent about pushing the iraqis to the brink before they RV....it has been in the works for 7 years now and there isent anything really thats going to keep it from happening....now as far as your links above, they probly havent been mentioned that much because to me anyways I dont see a whole lot of importance as regarding the IDQ and their progress of restoring wealth to their country....Iraq is on track to being a prosperous nation again....its just a matter of time....and no matter what the IMF has done for other countries or what they pay is going to hold Iraq back from the progress they are making, they are in control of themselves....and slowly but surely they will accomplish what they have set out to do....I hope that this might shed some light for you as to what you are thinking and the doubts you are having in your head....I personally wouldnt read so much into other chats because thats what gets alot of people wound up and let down time and time again....no offense to anyone but some of those are just shows to get people to come back and read them and follow them again day after day.....after awhile people get fed up and flip when there really is no reason to....the RV/RI will happen....we will all be glad that we have invested in the dinar and we will end up looking back and laughing at some of the silly things that were said from time to time....so just enjoy this time, sit back, and just watch the progress of them forming their govt because that is the single, most important thing for them to do right now and it will only lead to better things down the road for them and for us.....stop looking at dates as deadlines for an RV/RI and look at them as dates of progress and dates of the next step on the staircase to them raising the value of their currency......because thats all they are.....GO IRAQ!!!
  21. I put a lot of my faith into Ali....he seems like a stand up kind of guy to me at least....I have also asked him about the situations that happened with Russia and Kuwait and he seems pretty solid on the issue that he will be able to exchange our dinar no matter what happens....meaning to me that we dont necessarily need a bank account with Iraq when they RV/RI.....but to be sure I still think I am going to look into opening an account because of the fact that nothing is promised to us....but i do think that we shouldnt have any problem even going to most banks to exchange our dinar when the time is right.....I only threw out the Russia/Kuwait RV/RI just as examples of what HAS happened in the past and what possibilities are still in the air......
  22. Getting your cat kicked huh?? hahaha that sounds erotic..... "hey there big boy, you wanna come over tonight and give my cat a little kick?" eh eh?
  23. I think what would help you is if you dont just start lookin for a date for it to happen....just watch the progress of things going on over there right now with the formation of the govt.....think about what might need to be in place for something like this to happen instead of just hoping to wake up one morning and be filthy rich....we all know they need to curb the violence first and foremost.....the majority of the reason for this going on is because no one is really in power....so getting a govt together first would seem the most important right now....just keep an eye on the formation of their govt and once that is settled, then we move on to whats next...then there wont be a need for you to get soo worked up over just another date and then get let down just because it didnt happen yet....this will happen, but it takes time and certain things need to be in place so its not really about a date, its about when they can get their crap together and accomplish all the little things needing to be in place first and there is no set date when all this will be done....we just have to take it day by day.....dont look at dates as a deadline for RV/RI....look at dates for progress being made, thats all....right now watch for the 10th of July....its the next parliment meeting and depending on what happens then, will determine where we are at and where we are going, how long etc etc.....
