How soon you forget what at the time was the Soviet Union and their buildup of tanks and heavy arms into Nicaragua and that's who the freedom fighters were fighting!!! Do you know who was the president of Nicaragua was? Ortega, Castro of Cuba's best friend at the time. Their plan was to spread communism to all of Central America including Mexico at our border, the rest of South America would have been a cake walk once they were at the heart of the Americas.
