AKVET
It would be really nice to go back and with the knowledge we have now, I wonder what all would change. Not much no doubt, I have to agree it was much nicer and a whole lot simpler. And yes I do miss the good ol days.
vvalley
I remember chasing the neighborhood boys down the street with Alka Seltzer on my toung and telling them I had cooties I did get in trouble because the neighbor lady, Mrs. Johnson, called my mom thinking I had rabies from a stray dog... But it was still worth it Veronica Thanks delta, great post. Those were the good ol days...
Resistall
Ah yes those were the days Delta. I used to spend my entire summer holidays out on my pony, with no cell phone, no riding hat and no money. Just jam sandwiches and a bottle of fizzy orange, from the age of about 8 to 16, then boys kicked in I think it's a bit sad that now children have to be virtually electronically tagged. Sounding like a real old grumpy now..... I remember walking 3 miles to town, through pastures, and that big ole scary Bull!, to get one of those orange sodas for .10$ Man, life was pure and simple back then. I thank God I was able to experience those days before life got in a hurry.
Linda
ahhhhh...those were the days when kids were just kids...you knew right from wrong and got in trouble for the wrong...didn't get congratulated when you got out of prison for doing wrong...paid the penalty for the wrong doing and hopefully learned your lesson...we were always out somewhere and had a great time just playing outside! What a novel idea! Play outside without the computer 'stuff'...kids really don't know what they are missing today...a shame youth is really wasted on the young...
