sandyf
Would someone explain why IQD is listed but not tradeable? The information you see on the forex websites is only that, information. They are not trading websites, to trade you need a broker and if you open a personal account with a broker you will probably find only a small number of the major currency pairs available to trade. Not the full list you see on many websites. The IQD does trade on forex with 'appropriate institutions', I think was the words used, in much the same way as the Chinese. Although China seems to be making much more progress in making the currency international than Iraq. Forex Pro is not a particularly good site in regard to exotic currencies as it tries to simulate a real time environment. Most of the exotic currencies are updated manually at certain times of the day, with the IQD it is normally about 09.00,14.00 or 18.00 Iraq time. Netdania.com gives a much better picture of the activity. Hope some help. Anyone who thinks the IQD is not used internationally should read this article. IRAQI DINAR WorldLink® Payment Services has been making IQD payments on behalf of selected clients since 2006 adding to the exotic currencies suite. With the success established over five years, WorldLink has differentiated itself by having local expertise and strong banking relationships in Iraq. WorldLink is now offering IQD payments as a fully developed and proven offering to all relevant WorldLink clients. http://www.cnbc.com/id/44608147/Citi_s_Worldlink_R_Payment_Services_Stays_Ahead_of_the_Curve_for_Exotic_Currency_Payment_Capabilities
