Does anybody know if all of the talks and presentation that were scheduled for the past couple of days at the UN actuall HAPPENED? Just curious. Funny how we have all of these guys calendars and then we do not even know if the talks were given muchless the content.

Read the News and you will see that Talabani did speak at the UN (transcripts have been posted) and Shabibi was a featured speaker at the World Bank and IMF meetings and press releases for that meeting have been posted. There was been much news about both, especially regarding Talabani's message of being released from UN sanctions.

More importantly, these meetings are window dressing. Anything that is going to be decided will not be done in a meeting that is part of a published agenda. It is more than likely that discussions and decisions are made at the Oak Room Bar at the Plaza Hotel or over dinner at Daniel's.

Why do you think Talabani needed a $2 million budget for the trip?
