Heavyduty053
I know this topic is not about dinar's and i will get slammed but i felt it needed to be shared before someone else gets taken for the ride. I admit i fell for this several years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. 2003 i bought into a every other year time share in orange beach alabama for 189.00 a month with a 400.00 maintenance fee due every other year which by the way is now 500.00. It has been a nightmare dealing with these people. Office people always had some excuse like, must schedule 13 months in advance, call back on certain day of month, call back on that day and they would say we already filled our reservations for that day, call back on another day, Today we only have 15 and your number 16 but we will be glad to schedule you for winter months always made the offer of winter months. Seems like every year took preference over every other year. From 2003 until today we have only got to use our time share 2 times and i guess i got lucky and had office personal that was in a good mood those two times. But they still expect the monthly mortgage and maintenance fees on time. Last year a independent salesman representing this company was wanting everyone to change over to point system said it would solve all the problems so we upgraded thinking maybe this would help. It has not but the one thing that sold us on this new system was we could trade our beach time for somewhere else they owned. Anyway you get the picture. Yes we played the fool and had no idea that it was going to be like this. Please everyone out there listen to me----don't get swindled into buying a time share with any company it is not worth it. After fighting with these people time and time again i have filed a complaint with the Attorney General of Alabama for consumer fraud so they can look into it. Does anyone out there in Dinar land know of any legal way to dissolve this time share for good if so i would like to hear from you. It is one of the worst mistakes i have ever made. jbbdolphins
When I got my real estate license an aquaintance of mine talked me into applying at a company that sold time shares. I was escorted around by a woman who had been in the business for a few years. I shadowed her and by the end of the day, she had made about 5 sales. I was sick to my stomach by the time I left. These sales people have no problems talking clients into buying, their attitude is that of a "used car" salesman. I am sorry for what you have gone through. I understand. My advice first off, is to call the office where you bought from and tell them about your experience. Ask them if you can break the contract. The key is to be a persistent with them as they were to you when they sold the timeshare to you. Then if you don't get any satisfaction, call the Board of Realtors in your state and explain the scenario, they should be able to help out. Lastly if you still don't get satisfaction, go to an attorney. What ever paperwork you fill out or any letters you write, cc the Real Estate company. Don't give up until you get satisfaction. Good Luck!

Heavy, I bought time share (point system) with Disney. Our lease is good until 2054 and can be willed to our children. While our points are based on Disney's Saratoga Springs resort, they can in fact be used at any of their resorts, including Disney Cruiselines. We bought enough points for me and my wife to go on a 7 day eastern or western caribbean cruise once a year. There are many timeshare brokers that will help you sell your timeshare. They do make around 10% commission when they sell, but they don't charge you for anything else. Good luck.
