An all female bomb squad

I was listening to talk radio this morning and Neil Bortz was talking about an "all female bomb squad" in Afghanistan...I thought that was interesting and almost humorus knowing the majority of Taliban feel women are inferior beings. What they must be thinking...from women across the globe who have the freedom of equality to the opposite sex, "you go girls!"

Was Mr. Bortz referring to a bomb disposal group or a homicide bomber group?

usndiver: I don't believe he made reference to either..I don't know what the difference is so I could have missed that part. .the gist of his telling this was "I bet those Taliban are really "_______" knowing there is an all female bomb squad taking them out, especially the way they feel about women. By the way, are you still in the Navy? My son-in-law is a helocopter(the spelling looks off) pilot, was supposed to go to Egypt.. So proud of all of you who are military and/or who have served.

From my experience with EOD, 1. there are very few female divers and explosive ordinance team members. 2. there are no all female EOD teams that I am aware of in any branch of the U.S. military. I mentioned female homicide bombers (aka suicide bombers) because that has become a new trend in the ME. Been out for awhile but stay in touch with contacts. Chomp Chomp, go Gators!!
