The Ministry of Trade in Iraq earlier for the preparation of a comprehensive study to develop a priority to poor areas in the distribution of ration, indicating that the lack of financial allocations are behind the stalled delivery of the ration card items.

And delayed the Ministry of Commerce in the delivery of the ration card items this year in most provinces for reasons described as “technical.”

The financial allocations for the ration card in the budget year 2010 amounted to three trillion and 500 billion dinars (about 2,9 billion dollars) and went last year 2009 allocations for the ration card four trillion dinars.

Amounted to the general budget for 2010.84 trillion Iraqi dinars, of which 23% was allocated for the investment budget and 61% of the operating budget.

The Iraqi Ministry of Trade has announced at the end of the month of April last to reduce the ration card items to five items of the flour, sugar, oil, tea, and rice, which warned economists and insisted he would increase the economic problems in the country’s complex and nuanced.
