George Herbert Walker Bush is in the UAE. The former US president is here on a private visit, a spokesman for the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi confirmed on Monday.

No details of his schedule have been made public. Mr Bush was the 41st president of the United States, having been voted into office in 1988. He is the father of George W Bush, himself a former resident of the White House.

The elder Mr Bush last visited the Emirates in 2006, when he participated in the Abu Dhabi leadership summit, a gathering of influential speakers that included former foreign leaders as well as UAE officials. Mr Bush met Sheikh Khalifa, the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. According to WAM, the state news agency, Mr Bush called the UAE's role in dealing with Middle East issues "prudent".

He met Sheikh Khalifa as well as Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. I searched for info about Bush Sr. being in UAE because it seemed strange that both of them are in the middle east at the same time of all the dinar chatter; and these are the screen shots of the results of the search.

Do you think this is what it looks like when something is scrubbed from the internet?

Here is the correct link ... if you go to the main news website and do a search for Bush that is how I found it. It seems they dropped off the "Sr" in the web address. Google probably cached the search info and never updated probably? I have seen the same with posts we do in DV too where if you change something and you google it Google will show the pre-edit info. No scrubbing IMO ... just old cache.
