2 October (Rn) – A member of the Iraqi List headed by Iyad Allawi, on Saturday, that his list has no objection to the character of Nuri al-Maliki as prime minister, but on the “failure” in the management of the country during the past four years.

He added, “On a personal level, there is no one in the Iraqi List has a personal objection to Maliki is either the objection is the policies, and failing that caused great loss to the country, especially of the political situation and security.” The book said that “Iraq will not resort to pressure on Maliki and the other block in the formation of the government,” noting that “Iraq is clear and its demands.”

He pointed out that “Iraq and its members will not participate in the political process on the crumbs of office and others. The Iraqi list of winners in the elections and has a constitutional and do not exercise to pull the rug in front of the National Alliance being conducted dialogues with the Supreme Council and the Virtue Party, which may contribute to the composition of a new alliance.”

And the book that “al-Maliki will not be able to gather 163 votes in order to form the government and the Iraqi able to collect them in cooperation with the Supreme Council and the Kurdistan Alliance and the government formation process is not by force but must be formed on the basis of constitutional and democratic”.

The Iraqi List, has declared its non-recognition of the National Alliance candidate Nouri al-Maliki.

The Iraqi had earlier threatened not to participate in the government Eroshaamaliki, saying it will announce its withdrawal from the political process. Some believe that the Iraqi List, was left in front in order to preserve their chances to take over the presidency of the next government, but should seek to gain the support of the Supreme Council and the Virtue Party as well as the Kurdish bloc.

The National Alliance coalition, which includes the rule of law and the Iraqi National Congress, announced Friday afternoon, the absence of the Supreme Council and the Virtue Party, the choice of Maliki as its candidate for prime minister.
