  Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf: Hussein Al-Kaabi 

 

Today, crowds of visitors commemorate the death anniversary of the Great Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) at the shrine of the Commander of the Faithful Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him) in Najaf Governorate.

 

It is expected that the visit will be millions this year, as is the case in previous years, as two days ago hundreds of thousands of local, Arab and foreign visitors flocked to Najaf Governorate. 

 

The head of the Supreme Committee supervising the visitation activities at the holy shrine, Haider al-Issawi, explained to “Al-Sabah” that the plan for the shrine was launched last Monday by raising the banner of grief and condolences on the anniversary of the death of the Messenger (PBUH) in the noble Haidari Shrine. The flag-raising ceremony was attended by a number of religious figures. And the official in the governorate with a large gathering of visitors. 

 

He stated that the plan to receive visitors drawn up by the shrine includes multiple axes, the first of which is the axis related to services, as five shelter sites were provided in the vicinity of the old city of Najaf and the northern entrance to the governorate, in addition to rehabilitating the halls of the Shrine of Fatima (peace be upon him), cleaning them, and preparing places for hospitality, overnight stays, and serving food. 

 

Al-Issawi added that the second axis of the plan is medical, as seven medical detachments were deployed in the vicinity of the holy shrine of Al-Haidari, in addition to the continued work of the Al-Sajjad Medical Center and Dar Al-Shifa to provide medical services to visitors, noting that all medical detachments and centers for the shrine are working in coordination with the Najaf Health Department, It was equipped with specialized medical staff, most of whom were volunteers from Najaf Health, as well as health departments in a number of governorates, in addition to volunteers from outside the country. Medicines, emergency evacuation vehicles, and ambulances were also provided to these detachments. 

 

He pointed out that the shrine received more than two thousand volunteers from Najaf and other governorates to work within the plan to receive visitors. They were distributed among the shrine’s service departments, maintaining order, women’s affairs, and hosting visitors, in addition to the Husseini processions in the vicinity of the noble Haidari Shrine.

{Local: Al-Furat News} The Visitors’ Host Department at the Holy Shrine held a large dinner to host the arriving visitors to commemorate the night of the departure of the Master of Beings, the Prophet Muhammad (may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family) in the shrine of the Lord, the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him).
 

In this context, the official in charge of the Hospitality Division at the Visitors’ Host, Baqir Noman al-Fahham, told the news center, saying: “Under the guidance of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine, the Visitors’ Host Department began distributing more than (3,000) meals on the night of the departure of the Noble Prophet (may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family). Pointing out that on the day of the visit, the numbers will be increased to (5,000) meals served to the honorable visitors at the host site in the courtyard of Fatima (peace be upon her).”
It is noteworthy that the Holy Imam Ali Shrine has prepared a comprehensive plan to provide services to the honorable visitors on this painful occasion by directing the active departments to mobilize all their cadres in order to overcome the obstacles facing the visitors and facilitate their entry into the Holy Mosque to perform the visitation ceremonies, in addition to providing health and service services with the participation of 11 processions in the vicinity of the courtyard. Al-Alawi, in addition to publishing stations to correct the reading of the blessed Surat Al-Fatihah in various locations.

The reverse procession of visitors begins on the anniversary of the death of the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
  
{Local: Al-Furat News} The Director of Transport in Najaf Al-Ashraf, Jassem Al-Ghazali, announced this Wednesday evening, the start of the reverse shift on the anniversary of the death of the Noble Messenger, “may God bless him and his family and grant them peace.”
 

Al-Ghazali said in a press statement, “The company’s staff in the Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Governorate began the process of reverse transfer of visitors arriving to the Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf city and on various axes,” stressing that “thousands of vehicles and buses of different capacities were deployed to accommodate the millions of crowds who arrived to commemorate the visit.”
He added, "The process of transporting visitors is taking place with great fluidity towards the three northern and southern axes, Kufa and its affiliated areas, without any notable obstacles other than the large crowd of visitors that sometimes hinders the progress of the transport operations," noting that "accumulated experiences and combined efforts are behind the smooth transport of visitors."
Al-Ghazali confirmed, “There is field follow-up of the transport sections and the convoy areas until the end of the visitation ceremonies.”
