ARTICLE:  On Thursday, the Ministry of Oil organized a ministerial meeting for the working group tasked with preparing the draft oil & gas law.  A statement of the ministry, which was received by “Al-Iqtisad News”, stated that, “The Ministry of Oil organized a meeting for the work team assigned to prepare the draft oil & gas law, which is headed by the ministry’s advisor for administrative, legal & supervisory affairs, Mr. Hamdan Awijel, & includes a number of officials in the oil companies & departments of the ministry’s center.”   Read full article at source.

ARTICLE:  “Sudanese & Mandalowi agree to speed up implementation of budget items”   They are talking about the economic reforms, the projects etc…they need to stop in-fighting & get this thing implemented.   In this implementation they need to control their rates.  Exchange rates, parallel markets etc…so to me, this was a very encouraging article…they need to go sooner rather than later to get these reforms done…with a concerted effort from the various blocs to make it happen.
