And the Federal Supreme Court stated in a statement, which {Euphrates News} received a copy of, that it "ruled the unconstitutionality of a phrase in the amended Revolutionary Command Council Resolution No. (1750) for the year 1980 because it violates the constants of Islam."

And the statement said, “The Federal Supreme Court, on Sunday 7/16/2023, considered the case, No. 95 / Federal / 2023, and the court issued its ruling that the phrase (owning the house or apartment owned by the martyr before his martyrdom in the name of his wife and children) from item (2 / a) is unconstitutional. ) From the decision of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council No. (1750) of 1980 amending and addressing the decision of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council No. (914) of 1980 and the ruling that it is unconstitutional.

He added, "This will be implemented as of the date of its issuance on 7/16/2023, as a final and binding ruling for all authorities."

Shafaq News/ The Federal Supreme Court, the highest judicial authority in Iraq, ruled, on Sunday, that a phrase mentioned in the Revolutionary Command Council's decision numbered is unconstitutional, as it violates the constants of Islam.

 

In a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, the court media stated, "The Federal Supreme Court considered, on Sunday 7/16/2023, the case No. 95 / Federal / 2023, and the court issued its ruling that the phrase (owning the house or apartment owned by the martyr before his martyrdom in the name of his wife and children) is unconstitutional. ) From Clause (2 / A) of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council Resolution No. (1750) of 1980 amending and addressing the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council Resolution No. (914) of 1980 and the ruling that it is unconstitutional.

 

And the statement continued, "provided that this will be implemented, as of the date of its issuance on 7/16/2023, as a final and binding ruling for all authorities."

d said. Khaled Shwani, in a press conference: "The Council of Ministers approved today a draft law to cancel the decisions of the Revolutionary Command Council related to agricultural lands in Kirkuk, which includes canceling the nine decisions according to which the agricultural lands of the Kurds and Turkmens in Kirkuk were seized, from 1976 and later."


And the Federal Minister of Justice stated, "The aforementioned draft law had been included in the government program previously by the State Administration Coalition, and we had lengthy discussions and discussions about it during the previous period until we reached agreement on it with all parties."


The Minister of Justice thanked the Prime Minister of the Federal Council of Ministers, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, as "he was cooperative and supportive of us in this matter, especially during the past week, after we included it in the council's agenda, as it was included in the agenda more than once and it was previously removed, and I also extend my thanks." To all the members of the Council of Ministers who voted unanimously on the draft law, and it will be sent to the Iraqi Council of Representatives, and I call on all parliamentary blocs, especially the Kurdish blocs, to vote on the draft law as it happened in the Council of Ministers.


And the Minister of Justice stated that the draft law will contribute to solving the great problems that citizens suffer from, especially the Kurdish and Turkmen farmers in Kirkuk and the rest of the disputed areas, saying: “The law was prepared in a way that does not cause harm to any component in those areas, so that those affected will be compensated either by giving them other plots of land.” or monetary compensation.
