The Accountability and Justice Commission revealed, on Wednesday, a judicial decision of the Federal Supreme Court to include employees of the dissolved "Fedayeen Saddam" apparatus with pension rights for the period they worked outside the apparatus.

On Thursday, the Federal Court issued an explanation regarding the inclusion of "Saddam Fedayeen" in pension salaries .  

  

  

  

According to a document issued by the Federal Court, Nass received a copy of it (March 9, 2023), in which it says, “A reference to your book with the number (Q.T./42/7231 on 3/8/2023 published on social media. We explain That the decision of this court, number (220 / federal / 2022 on 3/8/2023), decided to dismiss the plaintiff’s case, after the Supreme National Authority for Accountability and Justice introduced a third person in the case and stated its opinion.  

  

And she added, “The decision included that Clause (Fourth) of Article (6) of the Supreme National Commission for Accountability and Justice Law No. (10) of 2008 according to which the Saddam Fedayeen volunteers are prevented from any retirement rights, as for those who were forcibly transferred, whether they were civilians or soldiers.” To the aforementioned apparatus and they were returned to their departments, they are entitled to their pension for their service outside the Saddam Fedayeen, and their service within the aforementioned apparatus is not counted as a retirement service.  

  

And she continued, "The court concluded, through its investigations, that some of them were martyred during the liberation of Iraq from the terrorist gangs of ISIS, in response to the reference's call, which requires that this be taken into account when examining the rights of the aforementioned martyrs."

{Politics: Al-Furat News} The Federal Supreme Court clarified that the so-called “Saddam Fedayeen” included pension rights.

The court said in a statement, a copy of which {Euphrates News} received, that those "who were forcibly transferred, whether they were civilians or military personnel, to the {Saddam Fedayeen} apparatus and were returned to their departments, they are entitled to their pension from their service outside the aforementioned apparatus, and their service is not counted within it as a retirement service." .
The court pointed out that it had concluded, "through its investigations, that some of them were martyred during the liberation of Iraq from the terrorist gangs of ISIS, in response to the call of the religious authority, which requires that this be taken into account from the consideration of the rights of the martyrs."
