Shafaq News/ The head of the "Patriotic Consciousness" movement, Salah Al-Arabawi announced, on Wednesday, his movement's opposition to the current federal government headed by Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, calling at the same time the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to end his retirement from politics and rectify the current situation for fear of the collapse of the Iraqi state.

Al-Arabawi said in a press conference held today that the real life of the government and the ruling coalition is not (100) days, but two decades, adding that with our realization that the old political equation cannot produce anything new, we did not want to go to the opposition when forming the government, hoping for change.

And he considered that "giving more opportunities will lead to more collapse and destruction," pointing out that "this government is an exact copy of the previous governments (Kobe Beast)."

Al-Arabawi also indicated that "the accumulated and worsening crises that the current government and its political incubator could not solve or mitigate (the crisis of the collapse of the national currency, the crisis of inflation in the public sector, the poverty crisis, which is almost the highest with a quarter of the Iraqi people below the poverty line, the unemployment crisis, the scourge of corruption and theft Century and others) called on us to announce the position of the political opposition with a free Iraqi will."

He explained that "our opposition will carry the following characteristics: diagnostic rather than personalized, corrective rather than vengeful, realistic rather than facebooking, systematic rather than barbaric, corrective rather than vengeful."

Al-Arabawi added that there are two red lines in our opposition: the first is that it does not aim to overthrow the regime, but rather to change it through a general referendum and by peaceful and democratic means, and the second is that it does not call for societal chaos, violent protest and disruption of state institutions, but rather aims to create peaceful, disciplined, organized and conscious protest.

The head of the "consciousness" movement called on the government, the parliament and the judiciary to the following: restoring the prestige of the Iraqi dinar, reducing the unemployment rate by half by providing job opportunities, not jobs, stopping decisions of exclusion and political replacement, recycling failed and tried faces, and committing to holding early elections and not circumventing them. And return the smuggled and stolen money and imprison the thieves and smugglers.

Al-Arabawi called on Al-Sadr to end his political retreat (not his retirement) because Iraq needs all reformers, and because continuing with this political and governmental approach will lead to the collapse of the state.

The head of the movement also called on "the new national forces and the opposition to this ruling class and the State Administration Coalition, to organize their ranks and organize themselves in a real opposition project so that they can be an alternative to the traditional forces."

In September 2022, six political forces announced the formation of an Iraqi political alliance under the name of the "Iraqi Position Coalition", with the aim of "rebuilding the state again". in the next elections.

The political forces are (Enough Movement, the Iraqi Nation Party, the Wathiqoon Movement, the Iraqi Unified Democratic Council, the Faili Front, and the National Consciousness Movement), to announce today its opposition to the process of the government and the political process in the country.
