Maysan Governorate is awaiting the results of the joint committee’s moves from the Sadrist movement and Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq to “bury sedition” assassinations and clan fighting, which have seriously escalated in recent days.
These moves were initiated by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, and he sent a delegation to Maysan province to calm the situation. In return, the Secretary-General of the "Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq" movement, Qais Khazali, responded to this initiative and formed a committee to cooperate with the Sadrist Committee.
The two committees held a meeting, which issued a joint statement, which included condemning and denouncing all murders in the governorate and supporting the judiciary and security services in order to take the greatest role in enforcing the law and reducing crime.
The joint statement indicated the continuation of the committee's work, follow-up of the investigation, and the detection of the perpetrators in order to take their just and legal punishment, adding, "We stand at the same distance from everyone."
The statement called on the people of Maysan Governorate to be patient in order to miss the opportunity for those who want to stir up strife between the sons of the same father (Muhammad al-Sadr). The attendees expressed their hope that the media would be careful and accurate in transmitting news from its correct sources and not from what is published by malicious social networking sites.
In parallel with the efforts to calm the situation, security operations were carried out to enforce the law in Maysan, which resulted in the arrest of 90 wanted persons, including those accused of inciting clan fighting, after imposing three cordons, namely external controls, internal controls, raids and searches.
The security forces ended an armed clan conflict that erupted between two clans in one of the districts of Al-Kahla district, southeast of the governorate.
These operations were preceded by a security meeting chaired by Maysan Governor Ali Douai, in the presence of the Maysan Operations Commander, Police Commander and Intelligence Cell. The governor told Al-Sabah that the security plan and the mechanism for its implementation were discussed, and all measures taken, stressing the need to work with all seriousness, follow up on the perpetrators, implement arrest warrants according to intelligence information, and take all legal measures against them and bring them to justice.
Douai called not to be lenient in the application of the law in order to impose security and reduce clan conflicts and organized crime in the province.
In the meantime, the Maysan Police Directorate revealed a study of the notes of the presidency of the Maysan Federal Court of Appeals about the faults and suspicions of corruption indicated in the joints of the Maysan Governorate Police Directorate, departments, police stations and their investigative bodies.
The Police Directorate began to rotate in the important command centers at the headquarters, prepare a schedule of transfers and replace sites, in addition to addressing suspicions of corruption and defects.

Maysan needs the return of the tenth squad

Saturday 12 February 2022 162Maysan needs the return of the tenth squad

 Baghdad: Omar Abdul Latif

Politicians and observers warned against the continuation of the conflict in Maysan and that it would not be resolved by calm, and they saw that such conflicts had frustrated the voter, calling for the formation of a special operations room to enforce the law in the province due to the incursion of crime gangs in it.
Member of Parliament Jassem Al-Alawi told Al-Sabah: “The governorate is not only in need of calm, but rather a military force that takes matters seriously, especially in the file of executing dozens of arrest warrants against criminals accused of confusing the situation and who are still at large, and the forces of law could not arrest them.” .
He added, "These criminals can influence the security services, and some of them resort to their favors, and they are assured that no accountability or watchdog can take action against them."
Al-Alawi warned that “the quota system in government departments has weakened the performance of the security services, but we are still counting on the presence of a military force affiliated with the Ministry of Defense that is not inclined to any party, as it was during the presence of the Tenth Division, which was executing arrest warrants and reducing clan conflicts, and security stability prevailed in The province before it was withdrawn due to the war on
(Isis)}.
The member of the House of Representatives explained that "the situation was discussed with both the Minister of Defense and the commander of joint operations to start positive steps to form special operations in the province, and to enhance the size of the security force, whose scarcity caused the situation to deteriorate."
He pointed out, "A question was directed to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, as he is directly responsible for bearing the responsibility for maintaining security in the province, and to address the governor, who bears part of the defect, with the need to present an initiative in which he seeks to solve all problems."
He warned that “the gangs in the governorate have reached the point of liquidating everyone who stands in the way of their interest, and trying to expand the conflict by involving the clans to which they belong, and they are diagnosed by the political parties to which they belong as bad and have previously disavowed them, but the issue remains on the His condition and nothing has changed.
For his part, political analyst Muhammad Al-Faisal said: "Such events that occur in Maysan are nothing but a negative reflection of the closure taking place in the political process, which causes complete frustration for the voter."
Al-Faisal added in an interview with "Al-Sabah", that "the political situation in general generated a kind of problems and crises that turned into a physical liquidation process," ruling out that "the conflict in Maysan governorate will turn to other governorates because the voice of reason prevails over the logic of power and conflict."
And he indicated that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi's visit to the province had a good effect by forming an operations room in partnership with tribal sheikhs and actors in the province," stressing "the need for the law to take an active role in curbing such acts and crimes and preventing their recurrence."
The political analyst warned that "those physical liquidations may cause a breach of the unity of the Shiite rank and a crack in the security and stability of the provinces, in which reconstruction and rehabilitation projects for infrastructure, hospitals and schools have been launched."

The delegations of the Sadrist movement and the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement agreed to miss the opportunity for sedition between the sons of the same father, and to stand at the same distance from everyone, to end the state of security tension in Maysan Governorate by supporting law enforcement operations and bringing the perpetrators to justice. A joint statement by the two delegations, after the end of their first meeting in Al-Amarah, which was followed by (Al-Zaman) yesterday, said, “We condemn and denounce all murders in the governorate, and we stress the support of the judiciary and security services in order to enforce the law and stand at the same distance from everyone to detect the perpetrators in order to take their legal punishment.” He called on the people of Maysan to "be patient to miss the opportunity for sedition between the sons of Muhammad al-Sadr, and we call on the media to be careful and accurate in transmitting information."

The delegation assigned by the head of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, arrived the day before yesterday in Maysan, after the events and the security tension in the province for days. Al-Sadr wrote in a tweet on Twitter that (the current and Asaib are brothers, even if they differ politically). The Secretary-General of the movement, Qais al-Khazali, called earlier to “cooperate with the delegation formed by al-Sadr, while emphasizing the necessity of resorting to the law, and accordingly, the function of this committee is to investigate facts with the current committee, about all suspicious killing incidents, starting with the assassination of the martyr Wissam al-Alawi and his brother.” Until now, the name of any individual affiliated with the movement or claiming affiliation with it has been raised and his involvement in these crimes is proven, God forbid, to announce his administrative innocence and his dismissal. ).

It only brings blood, and the local fighting for which the enemies spent billions and did not succeed, may be presented to them in this way for free and on a silver platter. We are ready for any endeavor that defuses the crisis and supports the efforts of the benefactors to overcome this crisis, and I respond with thanks and admiration the discourse of moderation and calming to Al-Sadr and Al-Khazali, and I call upon the dignitaries, clan elders and wise people to adhere to dignity and far-sightedness and to see the hidden fingers that enter into such unfortunate incidents). The Imam of the Najaf Friday prayer, Sadr Al-Din Al-Qabbanji, expressed his support for the scholars of Fallujah in their latest statement, for the expulsion of the scholars of sedition there, returning that the implementation of the activities of the Ibrahim project of normalization in the Emirates is a departure from religion and Islam. .

A series of explosions with sound bombs shook the city of Al-Amarah, which has been witnessing political and security tension for days. Security sources said that (the first explosion was caused by a sound bomb in the Iskan area, without causing any losses, and another sound bomb exploded in the second old Al-Moallem neighborhood area, without recording losses. As for the third explosion, which also occurred as a result of a sound bomb, it is in the Al-Thawra neighborhood) . A few days ago, unidentified gunmen assassinated the leader of Saraya al-Salam, Karrar Abu Ragheef, and wounded his wife. The assassination came just hours after Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi visited the funeral of a judge who was assassinated, also in the province. While the commander of Maysan operations, Major General Muhammad al-Zubaidi, revealed that the governorate is awaiting the arrival of new military units from the army forces. on a number of weapons).
