Minister of Justice Salar Abdul Sattar placed the file of recovering smuggled Iraqi funds on the meeting table of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers, stressing the need for cooperation in this field by concluding agreements and memoranda to restore rights and provide aid and assistance.
On the sidelines of his participation in the 37th meeting of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, Salar said, “The conference held in Baghdad to recover the looted funds is a starting point for cooperation in this field between Iraq and Arab countries to recover its money, indicating that there is cooperation We are very big in this field.”
He added that "Iraq has proven its supportive position for all Arab countries, and its presence is of paramount importance in all its meetings to restore its role, noting that there is a recommendation from the Iraqi government stressing the importance of the Arab League, which is the "mother of the Arabs" and the League for the sons of our great Arab nation and a basis for resolving Arab issues at various levels “.
He pointed out, "We in the Iraqi Ministry of Justice, and in the years in which we assumed the duties of managing the ministry, were able to prepare and prepare for a conference to recover the looted funds with the participation of more than eight member states of the Arab League," expressing his hope for "the conclusion of many memoranda and agreements in various legal fields."
