The Cabinet Secretariat announced, on Sunday, the holding of Iraqi-Chinese talks on a project to rehabilitate and develop Nasiriyah International Airport, and to build (1000) schools distributed over the governorates of Iraq.

Al-Ghazi's office said in a statement that Alsumaria News received, a copy of which, "The Iraqi side has completed preparing the basic designs and plans for Nasiriyah Airport, which is considered one of the vital and important projects in Dhi Qar Governorate, due to the oil, archaeological and tourism projects it contains, and attracts visitors from all countries of the world." He pointed out that "the Iraqi side is ready to start the development process by the concerned Chinese company as soon as possible."
 
 
 
He pointed out, "the Iraqi government's desire, to involve the discreet specialized Chinese companies, to build (1000) model schools distributed over the governorates of Iraq, according to priority and need, in partnership with local companies, after the Center for Engineering Studies in the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works completed the preparation of designs. Their own engineering. "
 
The Chinese ambassador expressed, according to the statement, "the extent of the Chinese government's keenness to extend a helping hand in establishing vital projects inside Iraq in all fields, and the Chinese companies' desire to provide the necessary support and attribution, to make bilateral cooperation between the two countries successful and to start implementing projects."
