Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein arrived in Iran on an official visit.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatib Zadeh announced earlier today that Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein is visiting the Islamic Republic of Iran today, Saturday.

"The Iraqi foreign minister will meet with senior Iranian officials, especially his counterpart Muhammad Javad Zarif, to discuss ways to expand bilateral relations," Khatibzadeh added.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif received his Iraqi counterpart Fouad Hussein in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Fouad Hussein, during his two-day visit to Tehran, is holding consultations with senior Iranian officials on the implementation of the agreements reached by Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi during his last August visit to Tehran.

The Iranian and Iraqi sides will also discuss developments in the region and cooperation between Iran and Iraq in various fields.

Shafaq News / The Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein, arrived in Iran on Saturday morning for a two-day visit.
Iranian media said that Hussein will meet with senior officials in the country to discuss ways to expand bilateral relations during the visit, which comes in response to the recent visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif to Baghdad.
Fouad Hussein will also hold consultations with senior officials in Iran regarding the implementation of the agreements reached by the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, during his visit last August to Tehran.
