The Integrity Committee in the House of Representatives announced that it had sent a request to meet with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, while it confirmed that it did not communicate with any committee investigating a problem, whether from the previous and current government.

"The committee sent a request to meet with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazimi, to clarify the corruption files discovered by the higher investigative committees," said a member of the committee, MP Sabah Al-Aqili, in a statement to the official agency, followed by "Ultra Iraq."

He pointed out that "the meeting of the prime minister will be on this subject, as the Integrity Committee is concerned with monitoring and following up the work of the government," noting that "among the government's duties is to inform the Integrity Committee of all the details related to corruption cases."

The spokesman for the Prime Minister, Ahmed Mulla Talal, had indicated that the Supreme Committee does not cancel the role of other anti-corruption institutions, and that the committee's work is accurate and confidential.

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi announced the formation of a supreme committee to investigate major corruption cases and exceptional crimes.
