Dinars R us
July 17, 2010 - 07:54:43 BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance and the Iraqi National Alliance (INA) will resume their talks within two days to choose the coming prime minister of Iraq, Hassan al-Sinaed, a leading figure of the Dawlat al-Qanoon, said on Saturday. “The Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance will not accept abandoning the National Coalition (NC) with the INA,” al-Sinaed told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. He noted that the dialogue between the Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance and the Al-Iraqiya Alliance is moving “in a good manner, but will not affect the NC.” Talks between the Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance and the INA have been paused for around two weeks, but Kurd Lawmaker Abdilbari Zebari said that Iran will activate the NC between the Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance and the INA. “Iran will make huge efforts to activate the NC and end disputes in it, to bridge the gap between NC’s members and to nominate a prime minister from within it,” Zebari told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. He noted that Iran does not want a coalition between the Al-Iraqiya Alliance and the Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance, stressing that “the Iranian move will be on the opposite of such a coalition.” “The Iranian move will also be big and strong to eliminate U.S. efforts to bridge the gap between the Al-Iraqiya Alliance and the Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance,” Zebari added. He referred to recent U.S. efforts in this regard as attempts to minimize Iranian influence in Iraq, to make America the major player within the Iraqi arena. http://en.aswataliraq.info/?p=134546
