Someone is watching over you

               When I was a little boy growing up in the deep south at Grandma's old house I would play outside on the sunny summer days and stretch every minute of daylight out of it, until I had to go in. I would have to take a bath because the dirt on me would look like a dirt mound itself from head to toe. But after a nice bath in a number two wash tub I could curl up in a deep peaceful sleep. Occasionally,  however there would be some particularly weird vivid dream that would jar me awake for a moment. I would stare out into the darkness to see if anything was there and then roll over and go back to sleep. I can remember a few times too when I woke up, looked out into the darkness and actually saw someone there. It was a peaceful presence, nothing to be scared of. It sort of looked like my mom who died a few years earlier standing there watching over me as I slept. I could close my eyes again safe and loved.

               Mom always said if something ever happened to her she would watch over me from Heaven so I guess Jesus made sure she did. I never spoke a word to her a night, but I could see her smiling and that would always put me back to sleep. I wasn't with mom but a few years when she had a terrible disease and the doctors did everything they could but it was just her time to see Jesus. I miss her terrible but he lets her come watch over me at night and I like that. I always knew mom loved me.

               Now that I have grown up and have children of my own I like to check on my kids before retiring for the night to make sure they are safe and sound asleep. I know mom wanted to capture those precious moments in her soul so she could have them forever. I didn't understand it then but now I do. Last night I checked on my kids got ready for bed and went sound to sleep. I must have been sleeping lightly when I suddenly felt someone near me. I opened my eyes and for the briefest of moments saw Mom figure standing in the room smiling at me, and then she was gone. Now some may say that these things just don't happen, some may say it was just dreams, or a fragment of a memory coming back to me. To me though it was proof that my Mom loving spirit was still there watching not only over me but my family as well. To me it was evidence that Heaven does exist and that my Mom will be waiting at the gate when my time on this earth is over.

               Whether we see people that was in our lives and has passed on or not we are all being watched over by those above. ITs part of what angels do. If you loved them and they loved you, then trust in the fact that you will see them again. Our Heavenly father makes sure all that has put their trust in him will have a home there and when family and friends walk through the gate we will know.

 

Want to know how to get into Heaven.....Get to know our lord Jesus, talk to him, ask him to show you the way. Tell him to light the path and ask him what you can do to turn your live around and live for him. Trust in his love and as you get to know him your name will be written in the Book Of Life and when your time has come to a close the angels will escort you and your loved ones that are there will be there to welcome you. Go out and live your live with a brave heart, a helping hand and a smile of kindness. There you will find happiness never before felt inside.

 

I chose this story because I had a strong feeling and felt there is someone out there that is needing to see this. I hope that this finds their eyes and soothes their heart in their sad time. Father touch the heat of the one that needs to see this and let them know your there. Open your arms and let them fell the love and heal them.......in Jesus name  Amen.
