The bank said in a report obtained by Anatolia, a copy of it on Thursday, that the government of the territory of northern Iraq is facing an economic and humanitarian crisis, as a result of Syrian refugee flow since the beginning of 2012, and the increasing numbers of internally displaced people in recent times. 
It was more than two million Iraqis have fled their homes from areas dominated by the organization "Daash "to the provinces of central and southern Iraq, which has almost completely quietly, as well as the provinces of northern Iraq region, most of them living in camps or temporary shelters. 
The report pointed out that the region's economy northern Iraq shrank by 5%, while doubling the poverty rate to rise from 3.5% to 8.1%.

He's the World Bank's special envoy to Iraq Robert quality PU, in the report that the international community has a deep concern about the situation facing refugees and displaced persons in the territory of northern Iraq.

The bank said that the increase in violence led to the occurrence of shocks in stocks of goods, noting that the conflict with the organization "Daash" led to impact significantly on trade in goods and services in the region, because of the ways crashes transportation, and foreign direct investment to the region decreased flows, while the operations of foreign companies operating in the region have been affected negatively. 
The Minister of Planning in the territory of northern Iraq, Dr. Ali Sindi that as a result of the conflict and the Syrian crisis "Daash" The number of the region's population increased by 28%, which increased pressure on the region's economy, and the host communities, as well as on public services. 
He Sindi according to the report, it has been the treatment of refugees and displaced people as if they were residents of the region were provided all the public services they need them. 
The Minister of Planning in the territory of northern Iraq that although that the government has allocated substantial resources through immediate response to meet the needs of the displaced population plan, but he can not deal with this humanitarian crisis and large-scale alone, indicating that the region needs to huge support from the local and international partners in order to overcome this humanitarian crisis and to meet the needs of the displaced . 
Iraq has been since about 6 months a state of chaos and security deterioration, after control "Daash" over large areas in the north and the west and east of June last, and announced in the same month for the establishment of the State "caliphate" on the territory controlled by each of Syria and Iraq . 
Since August / August last, waging an international coalition led by the United States air raids on strongholds Daash in the two neighboring countries (Syria and Iraq) to weaken it as a prelude to eliminate it, as the Iraqi forces and Kurdish Peshmerga operate (North Region of Iraq's army) and armed militias loyal to the government to restore areas controlled by the organization and expelled them.
