BAGHDAD / obelisk: said the leadership in the State of Law Coalition MP Ali Alak, on Friday, Prime Minister-designate Haider Abadi will be able to form a government within the constitutional period.

Abadi is serious about moving forward.  I hope the rest of the government is as serious as he is about getting down to work and making something of their country.

He seems to be taking the correct tract in getting all the political blocks to present representatives to be candidates for the national council.  The man seems like he knows how to bring about a unity among the Iraqi parties.  The trick will be getting them to make unified decision quickly.  

 

I imagine that this is making Maliki really uneasy.

I wish Maliki would be uneasy from France or some other country, maybe even from Iran since he has always seemed to like them so well.  .Anywhere but Iraq or the U.S.  Didn't I read that he has his millions stored in a bank in France? And owns a home and/or other property there?

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) - A member of the National Alliance, Abdul Hussein al-Yasiri, Saturday, said that the media leaks that indicate that Prime Minister-designate Haider Abadi will be implemented in some of the demands submitted by the political blocs  outside the constitutional contexts versus support to form a government has no basis her  health.
