It’s not hard to follow the news in Iraq, they have a ton of newspapers online.

US news is following the election too.

Please stop listening to these gurus who pretend to have real info.

Nothing has been decided.

State of Law and INA did form a coalition.

IAF and the Kurds have said they may join the coalition.

This gives Maliki the seats needed for the government and leaves Allawi in the cold.

Allawi won the election and he will hold onto that until he loses complete control of the situation.

State of Law is saying they want FULL cooperation of all parties but they aren’t talking to Allawi. Sadr’s side of the coalition is though.

They have several positions to still fill which include prime minister, president, speaker, some deputies, and the ministries of oil, finance, defense, interior and foreign affairs, and come up with a governing program.

Maliki will probably be President since Sadr’s side of the Shi’ites don’t want him as PM and this was a condition for them to join his cause.

They will probably offer Allawi a job that pays the high amount of money that PM does without the power. This makes it LOOK like he’s getting something but it really marginalizes his victory in the election. It would be a gesture to make it look like they care about sectarian war though we all know that is far from the truth. Will it stop those against Maliki? Maybe.

But if they’re going to revalue they need to get this resolved, it’s almost time for them to be called on the carpet by the UN since Chapter 7 meetings will be held in June. If they want to get out of Chapter 7 then they have look like they’re progressing and have an action plan in place which includes the revaluing of the currency.

Anyone who says they will revalue this week or next week or without a government is lying to you.

Associated Press thinks that there has been an alliance formed in the following article.

Deal uniting Iraq's rival Shiite factions gives clerics potential voice in political decisions

Associated Press

BAGHDAD Updated May 05, 2010

BAGHDAD (AP) — An agreement to form an alliance between Iranian-backed Shiite blocs gives the final say on political disputes to Iraq's top clerics, solidifying a role for the Shiite religious leadership in the country's likely new government.

The agreement, obtained by The Associated Press Wednesday, is likely to alienate Iraq's other religious and ethnic sects from the potential new government — especially minority Sunnis already wary of the Shiite-dominated leadership. The U.S. has warned against excluding Sunnis for fear that sidelining the Sunni-backed election winner could enflame tensions.

Several high-ranking Shiite officials confirmed to the AP the contents of the agreement, which lays out a list of conditions making possible the alliance between Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's State of Law coalition and the Iraqi National Alliance — until recently wary rivals for power.

I'm at a loss as to why this guy is calling everyone else a liar, and at the same time not providing proof of his "facts". He implies we should listen to him and ONLY him, and no one else. Who is this guy?
