ghaggerty
Wow...I spent a few years there and the people deserve a government that's going to do right by them...
luckylucy
Bravo EddieX!!!You have to remember there is a country involved here and not just a currency. They can’t worry about you being rich, they have to worry about themselves first. And no country in their right mind would revalue without a government. Period. drox
Completely agree with Eddie. Only thing is that Iraq Supreme court will decide what "Bloc with most votes gets to form government" means. Is it highest votes or merger of blocs to get to highest votes? Also... Sadr does not want Maliki to be PM period. So... Maliki could be replaced with a new candidate or Sadr may drop out. Either way with Rule of Law, National Coalition, and now Kurds... those 3 alone put them over the 163 votes. It will be interesting to see if Maliki gets 86'd even after he put this little end around stunt together against Allawi. Those 2 should have worked together instead for the good of the people. Now its more divided than ever.

I believe Maliki didn't want to work with Allawi & vice-versa, but Allawi did make overtures to the Rule of Law Bloc - but they rebuffed & ignored him. Only God knows who will be presented as PM, and VP. I personally believe Allawi needs to be a part of the Gov't, but it appears that the Shiite majority is ignoring him - unless Iran can/will influence Sadr to put Allawi's name forward. Allawi made some significant overtures to Iran in the past few days. JMO -RON
