Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -Kurdistan Region announced that the President of KR, Masoud Barzani, will release an initiative to conduct dialogue among the Iraqi political blocs in Erbil to settle the political crisis.

A statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday quoted the head of the Divan of KR, Fuad Hussein, as saying “Barzani will release an initiative to call the Iraqi political blocs for conducting a dialogue in Erbil in order to achieve the settlement of the current crisis in Iraq.”

The statement has also quoted the leader within the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Adnan al-Mufti, as saying “The meetings between the delegations of the political blocs such as the delegations of the State of Law Coalition, the Iraqiya Slate and the Sadr Trend and KR, resulted agreeing upon the necessity of holding a conference with the Kurdish side in KR to settle the political crisis in Iraq.”

“The meetings among the political blocs and Barzani are continued where some of the political blocs expressed their readiness to participate in the conference,” the statement added.

“The conference is supposed to be held in March to gather all the political bloc and settle the crisis,” the statement concluded.
