It is to be noted that earlier Central Bank reported that cancelling out zeros from Iraqi currency is under planning of the Bank. The prime difficulty will be - is withdrawing 30 trillion dinars from the Iraqi market at the present time which will be replaced by new currency. 3. Actually, this info lines up pretty well with some dialogue from Recaps that was posted last night. One of the guys in Iraq who was posting said that things had been delayed while they tried to locate (and take care of) several enemies of Kuwait. At the time, it seemed a little far-fetched, but if there are still folks in Iraq who mean to do harm to Kuwait, I guess-- as he said-- it was a good idea to delay things while those bad folks were located. Makes some sense in context.
  4. I think this is important. From my reading, there have been suggestions that the wording authorizing release of the lower denominations is attached to the Antiquities bill. We can only hope
  5. Well, as I read it, they are using the word "eve" more metaphorically to mean really soon.

  7. Kuwaiti excesses on the Iraqi border; comes under the law of the UN 02/04/2013 09:13:00 BAGHDAD / NINA / Independent MP, Jawad Al-Bazooni said that there were no any Kuwaiti excesses on the Iraqi border, and what happen on the Iraqi- Kuwait border is a natural comes under the law of the United Nations regarding the demarcation of the border after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait by the former regime in 1990. 8. Great news, Yota. Also, I think that increasing electronic access to banking will help ramp Iraq's banking system up faster as Iraqis who are not used to banking are more used to using their cell phones and doing stuff on them. So it might make their transition to a new era of banking easier. Just a thought.
  9. Yes, I know, Sandfly, that the article refers to salaries for doctors. But my question was whether Iraq suddenly increasing its doctor salaries by 400% could be related to an RV (as they would have more money to work with in the new budget or because they are trying to raise the scale to comport with the new valuation). Sorry, if the wording wasn't clear. It's also interesting to me that the article describes Iraq as trying to implement something akin to tort reform where doctors can't be sued/arrested for malpractice except in egregious cases.
  10. I wonder if this is related to an RV or if Iraq is just going to increase doctor salaries by 400 percent under the old rate? I also wonder what doctors are generally making now (in comparison)? Baghdad / Orr News Revealed to the parliamentary health committee a 400 percent increase on the salaries of doctors specialties of anesthesia and forensic psychology and family emergency, parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that "there is a ladder and a new functionally includes an increase in the salaries of all employees." A member of the Health Committee in favor Hasnawi said that "the State Council approved the Law on the Ministry of Health and the protection of doctors and sent to the Council of Ministers, which is currently studied and learned that he will some adjustments in the interest of doctors then sent to the House of Representatives for a vote." He Hasnawi that "the law includes increased 400 percent on salaries specialties Anesthesiology and Psychology and Justice, family and emergency," adding that "the law contains two important points first that work of a doctor in the private sector is a public service and treated as a civil servant Wi attack him be an assault on a government employee, and the second he may not arrest the doctor and accused him of hurting the patient and can form a technical committee with the task of investigating medical errors that get either in cases of willful negligence be a criminal case. " Hasnawi confirmed that "the law includes the return of older doctors to service and extend the retirement age from 63 to 70 years and the allocation of functional grades them," said a member of the Finance Committee Abdul-Hussein al-Yasiri that a new peaceful and functionally be launched soon include increasing employees' salaries. Yasiri said that "the State Council completed study of the career ladder and sent to the Council of Ministers for consideration to send then to the House of Representatives" and Yasiri predicted that "this peace sees the light soon." http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ar&u=http://www.uragency.net/&prev=/search%3Fq%3Duragency.net%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26hs%3DFpg%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official&sa=X&ei=MctaUa2GAoSe9QTi6oFo&ved=0CDkQ7gEwAA
  11. Actually, this would be a vote by the Council of Ministers on Tuesday and then, if approved, would go to Parliament for a vote on Wednesday. As regards Chapter VII and its impact on Iraq, said Noshi "The theme of this chapter has nothing to do at all the subject of Kuwait, but said the United Nations linked the subject side Kuwait, "saying this linkage is" duplication in the United Nations dealing with issues in the world, including the issue of Iraq. ENJOY THE GREAT NEWS.
  24. I love the Wife in the Know . . . This from DR: Hello Everybody: I have wonderful news!! My husband has been contacted by his superiors, he was instructed to start negotiating with all future countries using terms of the "new" value (3.42) of the Iraqi dinar. He has in the past always used the US Dollar. Iraq holds a huge amount of our currency due to their oil sales, so for them to finally start using their own currency is a great sign of progress for this country. We are truly at the end of our endeavor and Iraq is really showing concrete evidence of their growth as a internationally recognized country. The timeline I have given for the actual rate change IS STILL A GO... April 1st. I must say, I have befriended an individual who goes by the name of Naples Nurse. She has continually uplifted those around her during this long and sometimes emotionally unbearable process. She is a very kind solo and has shown by her actions how to serve others without recognition. I would hope that all of us who will soon prosper from this investment will pay forward to others who are in need. Please remember, this holiday weekend and what it represents is far more important then any earthly gain! All smiles here : ) : ) : ) Wife in the Know
