bigwave
I am way too young to have heard these “Famous Quotes” at the time. I am somewhat shocked and wanted to forward them to you all: “Your Children’s children will live under communism. You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright; but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of Socialism until you finally wake up and find that you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you. We’ll so weaken your economy, until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands.” Nikita Khrushchev 1959. Apparently this guy was banging his shoe on the podium at the UN just before he said it. And to think we fund the UN. “This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient and the world will follow our lead into the future.” Adolph Hitler – 1935. Please pass this along if you think it is needed. DiveDeepSix
One of my favorites is from JFK, "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country!" The whole entitlement generation coming up has completely lost any remote understanding or any desire to act upon these patriotic words. I said it before it's the Y generation. Why should I move out (when you will take care of me), why should I get a job (you will work and give me money), why should I buy a car (you will let me use yours), why should I take any responsibility for my actions (It's always someone else's fault), why should I show anyone respect (sadly I have none for myself) and on and on and on. LOL, I seen this in an email to bad I don't know how to bring pictures in but it showed a high school kid with his pants hanging down, (one of my pet peeves that irritates the crap out of me and the only positive thing about it being so cold this time of year in MN, they have them pulled up for a few glorious months) and the old butt crack sticking out, and there you have the Y in Y generation folks! :moon-from-car:/> Edited January 26, 2013 by DiveDeepSix

jonjon
Kubizek told us that Hitler was then a charming young man who pleased everybody and whom everybody liked: "Hitler was well-liked and respected by almost everyone he met", wrote Kubizek. And he didn't even have a teleprompter, wrote jonjon
