dklll
So far this summer, Tim McGraw has helped give away 18 mortgage-free homes to military families in conjunction with HomeFront, a nationwide program he launched in partnership the non-profit Operation Homefront, Chase, and the Academy of Country Music’s charity arm, ACM Lifting Lives, which donated $125,000 to the initiative. The homes have been given away during stops on McGraw’s Brothers of the Sun Tour with Kenny Chesney. At a recent show in Anaheim, Calif., McGraw presented a home in Canoga Park, Calif., to retired U.S. Marine Sgt. Anthony Hodge and his wife, Laura. Hodge retired from the U.S. Marine Corps earlier this year after 10 years of service due to injuries he sustained while deployed. He completed tours in Kuwait and Iraq as a field rig operator. In a recent interview with the Academy of Country Music during the Anaheim tour stop, McGraw—a 15-time ACM Award winner—said of the initiative, “What better thing to provide a wounded warrior than safety and security.”
