As long as we are pissed off. When at a funeral recently I was visiting with a school teacher from central USA who was asked to excuse a student of Islam religion for prayer. When this teacher refused to let a child go during the middle of the day, she received a visit from the principal who demanded to know why. She told her that the child only wanted to get out of a class that she hated. Not only that she was dishonest and had been caught cheating on many occasions. She then told the principal that she would be more than happy to lead a prayer for the other 25 children that believed in Jesus. Why should they get a special prayer room in the public school when God is not allowed in, not even His name?

About a year ago a business man called me and said a menber of my faimly had a machine delivered to his business i toild him to send it back. One month later he call again they would not take it back because he did'nt ordered it and the person in my family would have to send it back which didn;t work for his company but the machine was in my faimly menbers name and worked for his company. The twist is that his business and my business are the same type of business in two different towns. Is this a person that knows us? Now we file our taxes and we efile and is is kicked back because the person in my family has altready filed there taxes. We also were sent a check from a bank that we can cash if we contact them and give them our ss number and it is a po box for the bank which we didn't do this was a tax refund. A lot of the company's we have delt with have been good to deal with but some say we will just wreck your cedit. We have learned a lot, years a go we purchased credit protection, every thing takes time filling out paper work talking to company's and the police. THE SMELL OF RAIN A cold March wind danced around in the dead of night in Dallas as a doctor walked into the small hospital room of pretty young wife named Diana Blessing. Still groggy from surgery, her husband David held her hand as they tried to brace themselves for the news the doctor was about to bring. That afternoon of March 10 1991 complications had forced Diana, only 24 weeks pregnant to undergo an emergency cesarean to deliver the couple new daughter. Danae Lu Blessing. At 12 inches long and weighing only one pound and nine ounces, they already knew she was perilously premature, still the doctor's soft words dropped like bombs. "I don't think she is gonna make it," he said, just as kindly as he knew how. There's only a 10 percent chance she will live through the night, and even then, if by some slim chance she does make it, her future could be a very cruel one." Numb with disbelief, David and Diana listened as the doctor described the devastating problems Danae would likely face if she survived. She would never walk, possible that she could be blind. She would certainly be prone to other catastrophic conditions from celebral palsy to complete mental retardation, and so on and so on. "No! No! was all Diana could say. She and David, with their 5 year old son Dustin, had long dreamed of the day when their family would be complete with a daughter to love and cherish. One son and One daughter would make our family complete with Four. Now, that dream that they held so dear was slipping away. Through the dark hours of morning as Danae struggled and held on to life by the thinnest thread, Diana slipped in and out of drugged sleep, to keep her calm just in case Danae took a turn for the worst. Diana, even though she was drugged for sleep was determined more and more that their tiny daughter was gonna live and live out a healthy life, being happy. But David, fully awake and listening to additional dire details of their daughter's chances of ever even leaving the hospital alive, much less healthy was making the decision to confront his wife with the inevitable should it need to be. When Diana was awake enough David said we need to talk about funeral arraignments," Diana remembers "I felt so bad for him because he was doing everything, trying to include me in what was going on, but i just wouldn't listen, I couldn't listen, I said No, this is not going to happen, No way, i don't care what the doctors say Danae is not going to die. One day she will be just fine. As if willed to live by Diana's determination, her daughter cling to life hour after hour with the help of every medical machine and marvel miracle machine that her little tiny body could endure. Day after day the simple trials of life became a huge undertaking for Danae. Because of Danae's underdeveloped nervous system she was sentially "RAW" every slightest kiss or caress only intensified her discomfort so they couldn't cradle or hold their tiny daughter against their chest to give her incouragement and let her know she was loved from her mommy and daddy. To her she was all alone and she didn't understand why. All they could do as Danae struggled alone beneath the ultra violet light in the tangle of tubes and wires was to pray that God would hold their newborned daughter close to his chest and let her know that she was loved. There was never a moment that Danae could get a stronger hold on life, days grew into weeks and and time went by she did slowly start rising up and gainning and ounce here and there. At last when Danae turned two months old, her parents were able to old her in their arms for the very first time. Even as time permitted her to live the doctors still were warning Diana that their daughter chances of survival were next to zero. Two months after that Danae was leaving the hospital going home. The doctors were completely puzzled because she showed no signs of physical impairment. That little girl was growing to be normal even thought she was petite and feisty, she was full of life with glittering eyes and an unquenchable zest to live. She was everything a little girl was supposed to be then some. One blistering afternoon in the summer of 1996 near her home in Irving Texas, Danae was sitting in her mother's lap on the bleachers of a local ball park where her brother Dustin's baseball team was practicing. As always, Danae was chattering non stop with her mother and several other adults sitting nearby when she suddenly fell silent. Crossing her arms around her chest and hugging herself, Danae smiled and said Mommy do you smell that, Mom sniffed the air detecting an approaching thunderstorm of course she could see it also, Diana said, yes it smells like rain is coming. Danae closed her eyes and said again, No mom smell again, Once again her mother replied, yes, i think we are about to get wet, it smells just like fresh rain is coming. Danae would not accept this, still caught up in the moment and smiling she said, No mommy it smells like him, it smells like God when you lay your head on his chest and he holds you tight. Tears blurred Diana's eyes as Danae then happily hopped down to play with the other children. Before the rains came her daughter's words was confirmed Diana and all the members of the extended Blessing family had known, at least in their hearts all along. During those long days and nights of her first two months of life when her nerves were too sentitive for them to touch her, she remembered the prayer for God to hold her close to his chest and he did. Danae remembers the Heavenly Scent of his loving nature for his children. Sometimes prayer is only one step away from God's intervention into our problems. He know's them but he stills like for us to appreciate him enough to come to him and ask for his help. Now some might think this is selfish of him but it is not, it is his way of knowing that we care and we want him in our lives. In the New Testament it says this Lo i am with thee even until the end of the age. I found this out this past weekend. It renewed my faith that he was not ready to let me go just yet. Glory be to God.
