  1. Thanks for the response and the link. as I said....I do believe that it is smoke and mirrors. I am encouraged that your link says the same Thanks my friend Joe
  2. Last night, I had a lebanese friend listen to the Alsumaria TV video clip that was shown on Iraq TV last Friday. He wrote down the literal translation in english of the main points discussed in the 8 minute program. He promised to type it and e-mail it to me. Once I receive it I will post it. This is the arabic post: However, he told me that the three people interviewed all said that the dinar will not be RV'ed. They said that only the three zeros will be dropped from the value (not sure what that means and how it will be done??). I know that this is not what we all want to hear but it is what my lebanese friend said to me. I am surprised that something as important as this that none of the "gurus" took the time to get it translated for us. Could it be since it is not what we want to hear so they decided to "kill" it?? Either way....I prefer to hear/read a post and then decide to accept or reject it as opposed for someone to decide for me what they think I should hear/read. I have decided to place this entire TV story into the category of smoke and mirrors - but that is just my opinion. Be blessed my friends Joe
  3. just for the record...I have been seeing 11:11 quite alot recently - to the point that it is now very obvious. Since I brought it to her attention she too notices it often too. Having said that, I still have no idea what it means FYI only Joe
  4. In my opinion had he RV'd in 2009 (before the elections) and then he lost the elections then he would never get the credit for all the good things that will happen in Iraq. So he gambled that he would hope to win the elections, then RV, then be re-elected for ever (he can be re-elected for more that 2 terms) because he would be credited for all the great things to happen in Iraq (post RV). THIS IS JUST MY OPINION Be blessed all Joe
  5. No better way to get 2,000 people to call Ali than to start a rumor like this.......I am so sorry for Ali.However, I hope the rumor is TRUE!!!
  6. on a light note......recently whenever someone post something that sounds off.......TerryK is instantly blamed .....HAHAHAHAHHAAAA Don't get me wrong....TerryK deserves this negative perception by all............he brought it upon himself. but still a great laugh................HAHAHAHHAAAA
  7. You are already a wealthy man. Your wealth is that you ARE a husband, father and grandfather. This investment is JUST money. My brother, I would strongly suggest that you loose no more time by being away from your family - even if you cannot be their physically right now - get back involved in their lives. Every day lost is a day that you can never get back - money or no money!! I pray that you will see wisdom in these words and become the head of your household again - that which God has ordained you to be. Enjoy your wealth now and enjoy the money (when it comes too). Be blessed my brother Joe
  8. My fear with such a close win is that the loser may not accept his loss and then...chaos reigns....explosions, etc. These folks are very volotile. For Iraq's sake I hope that the winner is by a large margin and "all" are happy with the winner. I know, I know.....just form a GOI and RV and off we all go into the sunset......but, what about the iraqi people?? They have suffered for so long.
  9. My friend You did very well....so please do not apologise. You have shown (by your research) a willingness to further understand your investment rather than just rely on all of the "other folks" to post their views. For this I commend you. Keep on digging and posting!!!) Be blessed Joe
  10. Phoenix, thank you for your very thought provoking and well presented views......it is always very refreshing (as always). However, I have often wondered why is it necessary for a new currency to be issued - especially since the current one (ie: the replacement of the old Saddam currency) includes all of the various and latest safety features, etc. to avoid being easily counterfeited. Why can't the the same currency remain in use but just the bigger notes (ie: 1000, 5000, 10000 & 25000) just simply go out of circulations whilst the smaller denoms come into circulation? Of course, I would expect a time limit to be given for the larger denoms to be presented to the banks before they become worthless - so as to ensure that they are quickly taken out of circulation. I would apprciate your thought (and others) views on this scenario. As always thanks for taking the time to "walk us through this special process". Be blessed all Joe
  11. Man if it could only be true.......some folks in the chat room are saying that this site has been showing this rate for some time now.......I am sorry to have mislead everyone. BUT IF IT COULD ONLY BE TRUE
  12. I am checking the other sites too and they all show the old rate. But this site is showing this rate. Is this the first site to publish the new rate or is this site malfunctioning? All I am doing is sharing what I came across (and hoping that it is correct.... Please forgive me if it turns out to be an error.....I did not intend to miss lead anyone. Joe
  13. I just came across this link. Could the RV rate really be 3.09? Or is it a misquote....just though I should still share it Be blessed Joe Ps: you may need to fill in the info into the converter....hope it works for you http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Farabsys.net%2Fj%2Fconvert.htm&sl=ar&tl=en&act=url
  14. Mya...as a man I am embarassed and ashamed with the behavior of those other post... as a father of three daughters and a husband of a beautiful woman...God help and protect our women folk from "sharks" like that. You were wise to remove your photo.....and I assure you....there are some decent men out there too be Blessed Joe

  16. THIS IS A VERY INTERESTING ARTICLE...IF IT IS ACCURATE IT SOUNDS LIKE ALL THE CONDITIONS FOR A LOP......I REALLY HOPE I AM WRONG
  17. The country is a rich one. It can support a major adjustment. However, my concern was always why would they want/need to RV/RI at such a high rate. This is why the revelation that it will be one of PRIDE makes me feel more assured that it will be in the 3+ area. This, of course, is just my opinion.
  18. Yesterday afternoon I had an interesting telephone call with a gentleman who still has family in Iraq. His father, uncles, grandmother and many cousins are all still there and he considers Iraq his second home. His perspective on the IQD was shared to me from an Iraqi's point of view. He said to me that the IQD will RV/RI - (however the rate he is unsure of). His reason for the RV/RI will be because the Iraqi people are a proud people and there is no way they will accept their currency's fall from 1IQD =US$3+ to its current worth of 0.00085. Whilst they understand why it had to fall - UN sanctions, etc. - once they are in a position to control their destiny they will want to do the honorable thing and resume their pride and position in the Middle East and the world. They know that their country is a rich one, they know that they are expected to be a beacon in the ME, they know that many people have made sacrifices towards Iraq becoming a free country (from Saddam, etc.). They are a proud people and will not want others to see them as people who cannot control their destiny or restore themselves to their former glory days. He also said to me that the average Iraqi is NOT a corrupt person. Corruption is something that the average citizen does not understand - especially over the last 80 years. However, he knows that there are some corrupt people in Iraq, especially in high places (he stressed this by comparing govt. officials all over the world who have been corrupted by power). He further said that whereas many folks see the delay in forming the Govt. is due to selfish desires by those in power, in fact, the relationship between the many religious sects (Shia and sunny, kurds, etc.) do run deep and the miss trust between them are centuries old. Saddam did a great disservice to Iraq by using the "divide and rule" (used by the colonial powers throughout the 19th and 20th century in the ME) strategy effectively amongst the various groups, regions and religions. This situation is not one that can be easily overcome as there was much hurt and pain caused by all sides against each other. IMHO - IT WAS VERY REASSURING TO HEAR HIS POINT OF VIEW - THAT IS, THROUGH AN IRAQI'S EYES. I AM EVEN MORE ENCOURAGED THAT IT WILL HAPPEN - NOT BECAUSE WE WANT IT TO, NOT BECAUSE THE GURUS SAY IT WILL - BUT BECAUSE OF IRAQI'S DESIRE TO RETURN TO THEIR FORMER POSITION OF PRIDE, GLORY & STATURE IN THE M.E. WE ARE CLOSER TODAY THAN WE WERE YESTERDAY. Be blessed my brothers and sisters and prepare yourself for a responsible life upon the blessings soon to be bestowed. Joe
  19. that spreadsheet is suggesting that 1,000,000 IQD is woth US$3,875,968.99. Or an exchange rate of 1IQD = US$3.876 The math is correct ....BUT IS THE INFO CORRECT !!!!!! ?
  20. Some things is just not right here? When you google "Rothschild" it says that they are a prominent German jewish family. Now here is the disconnect for me.....I find it hard to accept that so many Arab and/or muslim countries would be so "closely" involved with anything "jewish". Hope this is not interpreted as being anti semetic or anything like that but IMHO these folks would rather live in a tent in a desert than go into business with "the enemy". What do you think?
  21. I think that this is a well prepared and thought out post. Thank you for the time taken to research and prepare it. Joe
  22. My friends, this is a confession of my heart. I (like most/all of you) have so many plans and dreams to follow through with after the RV/RI. There are many times that my wife and I ( and many more times just me alone) would sit and talk about what we will do, who we will surprise and bless, what charitable foundation we will form, where we will have our summer/winter/fall and spring homes, what commercial endevors we will embark on, etc. etc. etc. Moreso, I am so thankful that my three daughters and their children will be well off and never have to depend on anyone to have to provide for them or that they would never have to lack for anything they would ever want or need all the days of their lives. Now my confession - many times my day dreaming would come to a crashing halt as I would think of how the change could really negatively affect us - and moreso my girls. Will we all become materialistic? Will we become arrogant? Will we take our eyes off of the things of the Lord? Will be hounded just for our money? And my biggest fair and nightmare - will I loose my girls - to all of the above fears??? God knows my heart and my fears. Many times I have thought that I do not want the RV/RI because of all the things that could go wrong - what a contradiction - GO RV then NO GO RV !!!! NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS - Yesterday, during our worship service at church, God laid on my heart to look up at my girls. To really open my eyes and look at them!! There they were all three of them on the worship team playing their instruments and worshipping the Lord. I started to cry like a baby. My girls (really women) are competent, well educated, confident, committed, home makers, mothers, business executives in their respective work fields. They are young women that are not afraid to take on the whole world!! Yet, there they were, all servants of the Lord....leading our church in worship and prayer....GLORY!!!!!! GOD SAID TO ME .....you have trained up your children in the ways of the Lord and they will not depart from it !!! Since then my biggest fair and nightmare is now gone. IT IS WELL, IT IS WELL, IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL!!! Now I am ready for the RV/RI....bring it on (and thank you Jesus for blessing all of us and trusting us with your blessings!! Be blessed my brothers and sister Joe ps: The truth be told, I have always said that Donna (my wife) is the one that did a fabulous job in bring up my girls (and me)
  23. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT THE KIND OF ARTICLE THAT WE ALL WANT TO SEE (READ) RIGHT NOW. HOWEVER, I FELT THAT IT WAS IMPORTANT THAT WE GET THIS PERSPECTIVE AND THEN CHOOSE TO DISCOUNT IT RATHER THAN NOT BE EXPOSED TO ANY ALTERNATE THOUGHTS OUT THERE AND JUST BE HAPPY TO REMAIN IN A "WISHFUL THINKING" MODE. IMHO IT IS A SCARY SCENARIO BUT IN THE MIDDLE EAST - IT COULD BE AS REAL AS THE SUN THAT RISES IN THE EAST. LETS ALL PRAY THAT THIS IS A HOLLYWOOD STORY AND NOTHING MORE. THE READ IS LONG BUT WORTH IT. Some serious "Food for Thought" « on: August 29, 2010, 11:32:44 PM »Quote The following information was sent to me just after our call this evening. I am not an alarmist but I consider myself a realist. Therefore I believe that it is important that I present this "opinion piece" to our membership for comment. I am not representing this as true, but do believe that it should be taken into account as we move forward. Here is what I was sent. I have removed anything relating to me personally. Should the author of this wish to be identified I will gladly do so. However, the content is what may be more important, in my opinion. The article begins now: debkafile's military and Baghdad sources note that, for Washington, the war which cost 4,400 American lives and $1 trillion - is over, as per US President Barack Obama's pledge. But for Iraq, it is just beginning: At least two civil conflicts are at boiling point - Sunni-Shiite strife and hostilities between the two Muslim factions and the Kurds of the North - and Iran's followers stand ready to seize Iraq's oil-rich South potentially sparking yet another world conflagration. The political vacuum in Baghdad created by Nouri al-Maliki's refusal to step down or join a unity government is unsustainable and the cause of a rising spiral of violence. The transitional prime minister has turned his attention to preparations for a Shiite war against the Sunnis to be launched as soon as the Americans are gone. He has lined up senior Shiite commanders in the Iraqi Army who are willing to lead an all-out offensive against the Sunnis in Baghdad and central and western Iraq. While the Saudis and the Syrians are spending money to buy off Maliki's supporters, he plans to physically destroy the Sunni power centers in which they are investing. His plans could ignite a Shiite-Sunni war lasting from one to two years up to late 2012 or early 2013. At least one to one-and-a-half million Iraqi Sunnis will be put to flight and flood neighboring Jordan which has neither the resources not the utilities to support that many refugees. A second Iraqi community, the Kurds of the north, is in the midst of war preparations out of a bitter sense of betrayal by Washington. They are furious over America quitting the country without solving the critical issue of Kirkuk and its oilfields. Calculating that the Shiites and Sunnis will be caught up in their own war and have no soldiers to spare for stopping them, the Kurds have lined up this strategic northern city for capture as soon as September. They also plan to exploit the anticipated armed Sunni-Shiite feud to drive south and grab parts of central Iraq up to a line some 250 kilometers north of Baghdad. Tehran is also eying rich spoils in Iraq's post-American era. The networks in Iraq run by the Iranian Intelligence Ministry, the MOIS, and the Revolutionary Guards Al Qods Brigades have joined forces with their Iraqi allies to take over the southern oilfields centering on the city of Basra, which account for about 60 percent of the country's oil output. This would be Iran's payback for the energy sanctions President Barack Obama imposed in July. Iran also covets the two holiest cities of the world Shiite movement, Karbala and Najaf. The Ayatollahs in Tehran are planning a double coup in Iraq - possession of Iraq's oil riches plus command of its two most treasured religious sites. Also: What will the possible effects of a nuclear Iran be on the Sunni Muslim nations such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Oman, and Qatar who are geographically situated directly across the Persian Gulf from Iran within easy rocket range of Iranian nuclear missiles? Will they continue to align themselves with America, a nation who has consciously allowed Iran to develop nuclear weapons? Once Iran is a nuclear power and begins to threaten the Saudi’s and other Sunni Muslim nations, do you believe they will trust their survival into the hands of a President who sat on his hands and did nothing to effectively stop Iran when he clearly had the power to do so? If you were the leader of one of the Sunni Muslim nations would you seek to hedge your bets and possibly seek an accommodation with Iran and begin to turn away from the US towards Russia? One thing is for certain. This day will soon come and the first item on Ahmadinejad’s list will be to seek to force the Saudi’s and other oil producing nations to stop accepting dollars in payment for oil. He will demand they accept Euros, rubles, or even a basket of currencies – anything but dollars! Once this begins to happen, America’s financial system will collapse because the dollar will no longer be the world’s reserve currency. America will no longer be able to roll over its massive debts to foreign governments, much less continue to borrow trillions to fund our massive unsustainable deficits. Once Iran becomes a nuclear power in the Middle East it will become an irresistible force with the power to back up its threats. Remember, Russia is the nation who has supplied the technology to develop Iran’s nuclear facilities. So with Russia behind them their threats become more menacing and have great force and credibility. Also remember in Scripture in the Gog and Magog war Russia and Iran are allies, just as they are today, so we are witnessing prophecy unfold before our very eyes. Just look at what has happened in the Middle East since Obama took office and the Bush administration left. Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza have all become surrogate nations of Iran. Armed, funded, and influenced by Iran. Hezbollah effectively now controls Lebanon, while Hamas now controls Gaza. Both are surrogates of Iran. Over the past six months Turkey realized the utter weakness of America and the EU and suddenly turned and became allies of Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Russia. Now they are openly aligning themselves militarily with Syria, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Hamas in Gaza. Will Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, and Oman be any different? History Lesson In 1972, when President Nixon was elected to office he was faced with a severe financial crisis. The US was technically bankrupt. At that time the dollar was backed by and convertible into gold, and nations were bombarding the US Treasury demanding the US redeem their dollars for gold. The problem was the nations of the world had more dollars that our Treasury had gold. So what did President Nixon do? First, he nullified our agreement with the nations to convert their dollars into gold. However, this left him with a much bigger problem. In order to maintain the dollar as the world’s reserve currency and to have the ability to borrow and print unlimited amounts of money, Nixon had to find a way to force all the nations of the world to hold dollars as their reserve currency. To accomplish this end, he sent Henry Kissinger to Saudi Arabia in order to make a covenant with Islam. This was the covenant. If the Saudi’s would accept only dollars in payment for oil, then the US military would guarantee to defend the House of Saud and keep them in power against any and all enemies. What did this covenant do? This covenant insured that the dollar was now backed by oil; consequently if you were a German and you needed oil you could not pay for it in Marks. You had to sell Marks and buy dollars in order to purchase oil. The same held true for every nation on the planet. No dollars – No Oil! Over the ensuing years America developed two primary market exchanges where commodities of every kind were traded on the world market. Wheat, rice, corn, barley, oil, natural gas, gold, silver, copper, and the list goes on and on. However, there was one requirement if you wanted to purchase wheat, rice, corn or any other commodity. You could only pay for it in - Dollars! No dollars – No Wheat! This system has enabled the US to borrow billions and now trillions from many nations, because they have no choice but to hold a major portion of their currency reserves in dollars to purchase needed oil and commodities. However, if there is a shift by Saudi Arabia, or other major oil producing nations such as Iran, Venezuela, Russia, and other Sunni oil producing nations to begin to accept other currencies in payment for oil, what do you believe will happen to the value of the US dollar? Nations will begin to sell dollars and buy other currencies, or in the case of the EU they will utilize their own currency (Euros) as opposed to dollars. The process of selling off dollar assets, such as US Treasuries has already begun with China, the largest holder of US Treasuries reducing its holding by $56 billion over the last 60 days. When nations are able to use other currencies to pay for oil and commodities we will experience not only a world- wide dollar crisis, but the value of the dollar will plunge to unimaginable depths. The US economy will crumble, the lifestyle we have known will disappear, our ability to spend and borrow will dry up, the stock market will crash, paper assets will be worth toilet paper, our ability to purchase 11 million barrels of foreign oil will vanish, our capacity to fund our military will dry up, there will be social unrest in America and throughout the world on a scale unknown in modern times. What about Israel? First, we are going to witness an all out push by the US, the Quartet, the UN, and the Muslim nations to exert unrelenting pressure on Israel to divide the land of Israel; to divide Jerusalem, and to create a new Muslim nation – Palestine. debkafile's military sources see the potential for events exploding into a major Middle East flare-up: Iran has taken US and Israeli passivity over the start-up of its Russian built nuclear reactor at Bushehr on Aug. 21 to mean that it can get away with more muscle-flexing and has already factored the reactor which Washington characterized as not immediately dangerous into its military build-up. Sunday, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad unveiled an armed unmanned aerial vehicle called Karrar, claiming its range to be 1,000 kilometers - as far as Israel - and able to deliver four cruise missiles. These claims have yet to be independently verified. More locally-made advanced weaponry is promised for this week to demonstrate Iran's independence of outside sources. Its leaders are bragging that Iran will soon take its place among the world's top 50 exporters of advanced arms. The forthcoming Israel-Palestinian peace talks beginning in Washington on Sept. 2 - while generally rated as going nowhere - are nonetheless anathema for Tehran and its radical allies. They are perfectly capable of starting trouble on Israel's borders with Lebanon, Gaza or even Syria to sabotage even the dimmest prospect of a diplomatic breakthrough. There is no telling in the Middle East when an isolated incident may not deteriorate rapidly into a major conflict when the climate is as tense as it is at present. It came dangerously close on Aug. 3, when a Lebanese army sniper shot dead an Israeli colonel precipitating a heavy exchange of fire. Lebanon is on tenterhooks over the nine Hizballah leaders the international court inquiring into the 2005 Hariri assassination plans to summon as suspected perpetrators of the crime. Hizballah's leader, Hassan Nasrallah, has given the Beirut government due notice that if his top people are surrendered to the tribunal, he will plunge the country in a civil conflict. Hizballah, backed by Damascus, recently began accusing Israel of engineering the murder, so providing themselves with a neat pretext for going to war and avoiding facing the music. Thursday, Aug. 19, all Syrian homeland defenses and emergency services were placed on the highest war readiness for an outbreak of hostilities without further notice. The situation on the Israel's southern borders is as tense as its Lebanese and Syrian frontiers. Iran is expected to take advantage of the withdrawal of US combat troops from Iraq to make a grab for the oil-rich south and send its allies to carry out operations against Israel as a diversionary tactic. All these reasons have led military sources to indicate to debkafile that the outgoing Lt. Gen. Gaby Ashkenazy may not stay on until February but hand over to Maj. Gen. Galant as soon as the beginning of the Jewish New Year in the second week of September, 2010.
  24. There has been much speculation on the dropping of the 3 zeros - called LOP - over the years. This topic has caused many name callings both to and fro and made man a man call the other a fool, etc. Plain throught is --- moving the decimal point three places to the left therefore making the exchange now 1 IQD = US$0.86 is as good a theory as any other offered over the years. Just fasten your seat belts.....this here plane is about to take off !!!
