  1. A few weeks ago Randalln posted that he had bought his Dinar at the beginning at $150 per million. I was in Iraq in 2003 the day the new currency became available and I paid a little over $500 per million. I am not calling him a liar but I am very skeptical about some of his claims. Looking like this claim isn't any different.
  2. I bought my Dinar in Iraq in 2003 when the new currency first became available. I bought all 25,000 notes so it would be easier to handle. At that time I was just hoping that over a period of years the Dinar would gradually appreciate. I had never even heard of an RV. With all the talk about lops and phasing out the zeros, etc. I wonder if I am at risk of the 25,000 notes becoming worth less and if I will be able to trade them for lower denominations here in the US. When they introduced the new currency in 2003 there was a grace period of a couple of months where you could trade in your old Iraqi currency for the new currency. Of course at that time it wasn't a matter of the value of the note but just that they were phasing out the old "Sadaam Currency" and introducing the new. If I were in Iraq now I would be trading in my larger notes for smaller ones but what do we do here in the US? Thanks
  3. Ok I have only posted on this site once before. I usually am just here keeping up with the latest news and rumors. I was in Iraq working for KBR in 2003 when the new Iraqi currency was first available. I can tell you it wasn't anywhere near $150 per million. I bought 2 million the day it bacame available and paid a little over $500 per million, I don't remember the exact amount.
  4. While I am very new as a member of this site, I am not new to this investment. I have held my Dinar since the day the new currency became available in 2003. I worked in Iraq for KBR from June 2003 to June 2004. That being said I'm not sure I understand why this is a "good thing". If they give each family 10 million dinar before it RV's and then say it RV's at $2, that would mean each family would then have Dinar worth $20 million USD correct? Hard for me to believe that if the Iraqi Government knows the Dinar is going to RV anytime soon how can they give these families this much Dinar before the RV???
