By the way you're set this group, the plans and post RV it is obvious you are not simply a linear thinker. Synopsis hello. We'd talked recently about the 926 form and how to value our IQD. I mentioned I would contact my tax person & get back to you. He was on a cruise and just got back to me and here is his comment.......... "First, to figure out the value of the Dinar at the time of gifting you should use the historical exchange rate for that time frame. You can go to www.fiscal.treasury.gov/and open the rates of exchange box. There you will chose the historical rates option and you can go to the closest date to when you gifted it. You then take how much you had in Dinar and divide by the number that is listed next to Iraq-Dinar. That is the FMV that the IRS is looking for and will except on the Form 926." I hope this helps to answer any questions.

My gosh! Yes, the math does indicate deductibles wewe met. I go back to my original thought; I pray nothing serious and that all is well now. I guess a small consolation is that, unlike many, you have the resources to withstand the stupidity of the Affordable (???) Health Care (??) Act. Not to be 'schmaltzy' but my respect and admiration for you has grown. To take that kind of financial hit and still remain professional, rational, honest and even tempered during all that and the madness that is IQD.....that is a man who's earned respect & admiration. Shabibilicious, I hate to be so cynical but drinding it all down to the baser element of our society it seems to me about three words....'where's my check?' We have allowed ourselves to accept the situation because we're more in tune with Survivor, Kardasians, Gaga, 50 Shades....and so much other drivel. More people get their main source of news on social media sites than mainstream news sites...neither is good but mainstream relies (usually) on (SOME) actual facts. We don't have an HCL yet. Adam, I know...we all know as you repeat it every week. I didn't know how else to ask the question which was prompted by a comment you made about it having been read for the first time in parliament. Let me try this approach .....Has the bill that would have the effect of morphing the HCA into a finished HCL had any other readings in parliament?

RAN....I doubt there is an issue with the validity of the currency Sterling was selling......the FBI would not be the Lead group if that were the case. Personally, IMHO, this has NO effect on us. The currency is good. Like the FBI agent I spoke to the day after the raid said..."If you have the dinar, have it in your possession, it is the same as any other investment." As far as the internal negative attitudes of the Sterling people who cares? There is too much outside, verifiable evidence that an RV will happen...The UN, the Erble, the flow of money & oil within Iraq and the biggie....Iraq requesting a credit rating. To me, the train has not de-railed at all; it is still on track traveling at a slow steady pace forward. All the above is just my 2 cents worth of opinion.

I just talked with someone at the Atlanta FBI office, yes, it was a Special Agent. I expressed concern that the raid may have been due to the selling of counterfeit dinar. The Agent told me (and yes, this is a direct quote), "I cannot speak specifics of the investigation but it is my understanding that is not at issue." He went on to say, "If you have the currency, if you have it in your possession, it is like any other investment cash, gold or silver. As their value changes so will your investment." Ok, thats all I have for now....maybe many of us can breathe a tad easier.
