Makes sense to me

Question....if Iraq is not allowing people to take it's currency out of Iraq, how are companies selling it freely on the internet? Furthermore, since it's not a internationally recognizable currency how are banks selling it here in the US? Just wondering...thanks

So what about the 250 dinar notes? Everyone is talking about the 000 notes and Shabibi only mentioned lower denoms of 1,5,10,20,50 and 100.

Thanks Lassie...makes sense. Im thinking the UST will or have negotiated a rate to return the dinar to Iraq and purchase oil with it to put in the oil reserves. Thoughts?

Exactly what I think will happen. They will RD in country but those of us outside the country will have a certain amount of time to exchange or cash in the 000 notes once it's on the FOREX. Thanks Lassie!

But at the same time, what could happen, is an in country RD and then RV but the 000 notes outside the country are still worth face value. Also, what about those that have dinar deposited into an iraqi bank account? Once the currency is on the FOREX, that's the exchange rate you should be able to cash in at....outside of Iraq. It's all a guessing game but from what I've read, it is possible.

Slade...they keep stating local in all thier news articles. I believe you are correct...for inside Iraq. Those of us outside Iraq are in a different category because we hold legal tender from Iraq.

People with large amounts of dinar in an iraqi bank account will see a large RI.

If you're in country...yes....your 25k notes will be replaced with 25 dinar notes. Outside Iraq....different story...their still worth 25K dinar. Make sense?
