Good point.....are they required to give advance notice to the UN?...it didn't look like it, based on what I read, I just was not certain. When it comes to the IQD, Iraq, and the state of this world...frankly, anymore, I don't think anything is too far-fetched anymore....lol!!!!

YES!!!!...thank you for being so polite to me, I really do appreciate that. I figured we WOULD see a published rate ahead of time. If that is truly so....then all the "guru" hype should just be looked at as "fluff" at best...garbage at worst. this probably has been dealt with before, and though I have held IQD for years, have not looked at the boards much until just lately. any help from someone wiser than me would be much appreciated!!! The Iranian Rial, the Myanmar Kyat are both due to RV on 6/15/11, according to the UN Operational Rates of Exchange page. They are ALREADY listed that they WILL BE........and it's not even 6/15 yet. I noticed 3 days BEFORE 6/1/11 that all of the currencies that DID RV on 6/1 were already listed on the UN Operational Rate of Exchange page that they would be changing. MY QUESTIONS......... :blink: 1. Don't you think we would see the IQD show up a few days BEFORE and actual RV happens?....are they not required to give some notice, just like all the other countries??? 2. Does anyone know if there IS a formal protocol that must be adhered to???? (sure would solve a lot of speculation, frustration, and pumper garbage if that was the case) OR..... am I being totally crazy here?????

PVS....+1...you got some great ideas, girl! we need more options than just brains showing, though. How about a few helmets with just rocks or marbles(one marble more like it). I would love an "air-head" look....or perhaps a sheep's head.... some of the posters here need to wear the model sporting only tin-foil, some could have only "sh*t for brains". How about a creative line of straight-jackets to go with the helmets?......oh the fashion statements would be endless! I think those that bash you should learn to think before typing. PEOPLE!!!!... why don't you click on the person and check out the posting history they have before bashing what they are sharing????? it's VERY easy to see who is on here spouting baloney that way. Please think before you type....it sure would cut down on a lot of the bashing around here. We are all on here because we hold dinar....and want a return on this investment. This investment is a speculation, with very little down side, long term. possibly NOT much upside, though...if they issue new currency, and give us a short window to cash in what we hold. At this point...I think ANYTHING is possible....but that's just MY OPINION. Whatever happens is obviously out of our control.......no need to kill the messengers of REAL "intel".....even if we don't like what they have to report.

I do NOT want to be linked to this person in any way. I am pretty new to this site (though not new to all things Dinar)...would like to post more, but will not until i am removed from being his "friend". Hi!...I know this is my first post, but I am not new to owning IQD...a friend told me about it years ago. I invested back then...knowing it was speculation, at best....but worth the risk, knowing that when banks are able to exchange it again (just like any other currency)...i would at least get my money back. didn't seem like much risk at all to me. so...knowing i would hate myself if I did not tell my friends, but also knowing that some of my friends would think I was nuts, here's what I did: ..I put a 25,000IQD under glass in a picture frame and I titled it "Iraqi Lotto Ticket". On the back, I had Dinar Vets, and a couple other websites printed out, so they could check the investment out themselves, if they felt like it. I gave it to everyone for Xmas one year. People loved it...even if some thought it was just a joke. I told them I had invested, and why...and encouraged them to check it out for themselves, by doing some research of their own.... but to hang it up somewhere they could look at it when they needed a big dose of hope. Some of them chose to invest, and some did not...but the pressure was off me to try and explain something I was just investigating and learning about myself. That was 3 1/2 years ago. The people that invested are still happy they did (nobody I know is silly enough to risk what they cannot afford to loose)......and should this pay-off...we will all be very happy. Those that chose not to invest....well..if it goes big on an RV.....they will still get a windfall. that's the way I chose to include all the people I cared about.....it just took all the pressure off all around. Best of luck to you (and the rest of us)....I sure would love to see something happen soon. I didn't even look much at these boards for over 2 years...but came on again a couple months ago, when things started heating up again. I read them every day now, because I feel something is about to happen at long last. Not sure WHAT will happen....but no matter what, I sure have had fun educating myself about Iraq. I have had even more fun reading the rumors, and the comments that follow...some of the people crack me up. There is something about the IQD that keeps me believing in a brighter tomorrow. We are watching a new nation emerge...a nation full of so much potential it's mind-boggling. Rome was not built in a day. Iraq seems to be taking it's sweet time, but when you think about what is really involved to build a country from the ground up, and bring it into the 21st century.......they are moving pretty fast! The outcome remains to be seen.....yet it is unfolding by leaps and bounds. Envisioning an incredible future is the first step in creating it. Risk is what transforms lives....just make sure it is a risk you could live with if NOTHING happens for years. That way, you can sleep at night. HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!!!!
