I don't want to be a downer, but the FOREX has been bobbing up and down for some time now. I think the more interesting question would be what are they basing these fluctuations on since IQD is not tradeable? It could just be that they wanted to update the system with all currencies and conduct a system check to ensure all the parts and pieces are working or maybe that they foresee the IQD becoming tradeable sometime in the near future. Really, it could be a lot of things. Its not a bad thing to keep an eye on, but unless there is a major shift in it, I wouldn't read a whole lot into it. M could very well be the hold out in hopes of perception becoming reality. What do I mean by that? Well when Iraq protested (and continues to do so) they have not asked for the government to be removed. They have asked for the basics! Electricity, water and jobs! So if I were M and I knew that this RV was going to happen as soon as the GOI was seated and announced. (The Security Ministries). That jobs would be created, that they may be able to pay for those services for the people. If I waited a few weeks to make this happen and then went to the people and said " You have been heard, look what I have had the government do. We will head down a better path now." How would that make him look in their eyes? He could come out looking like a hero. Just my 2 cents, but with that kind of thinking, if M wanted to use that as leverage than he has a lot of it.

Vern, Sorry if maybe I was a bit harsh. Having served and knowing people still out in the field, matters like this are very near and dear. I have seen both sides debated and done a lot of research on this topic. I really, honestly believe that anyone that conducts themselves in a manner like this, puts troops or civilians further into harms way and thus deserve no quarter, so to speak. Vern, Nope long time follower of the forums, never joined up though. A persons number of posts does not determine their intelligence. You happen to pick a topic that I have tracked since day one, ask me something else... I may not have an opinion nor be informed enough to offer one. I have read a few of your posts over the last few months or so, won't claim every one, to be honest. Yes I am lively on certain topics...I often type before my "filter" kicks in.

First off, the question has already been asked in regard to what exactly your intent is with this. Second, you speak of patriotism for the US, yet your Canadian. Are you kidding me? You make it sound like what he did had no impact on people at all, which is absurd. With all the various information he leaked, he is probably directly or indirectly responsible for deaths of multiple people. This was not the action of some one with "best" intentions or even "good" intentions in mind, I'm sorry educate yourself more on the case information that is available out there and if you still come to this insane conclusion than so be it, to each their own. Oh, and since when is being naked torture? I mean really come on. In the end I think your just trolling the forums looking to stir up some sort of controversy. At any rate I still like my prediction best. The RV will happen the day after the day before it RV's. The day it RV's will also be the day before the day after it RV's. That day will end with the letters "d-a-y" and fall on a day designated on the calendar. Sorry if you don't like it, but I laughed.

I would love to see this information, just for my personal knowledge. However I must say.. I would probably laugh and actually clap for a person from a place like the UST, if they stood up and just said " We really have no idea. So we just print more, anything else is a guesstimate." Makes me giggle just thinking about it.

This type of rumor has been up on the boards and posted a lot lately. I would ask a few questions, why would the green zone get the RV before anyone else? How would they handle the resulting chaos that would follow due to this? (One part of town your money is worth more than the other side of town?) Also, doing this if it did not hit everywhere at once would alert every dinar investor to immediately dump massive amounts of cash into purchasing more for when it went live everywhere else. I'm sorry but this doesn't pass the common sense test.

This is just my 2 cents. I haven't been here on the boards all that long, though I have been reading/following them for a while. Yes it is exciting and everyone wants to to RV. It's perfectly fine to be a bit excited, especially with all the developments that have come about the last few months. I would advise you to temper that excitement with patience however. There have been claims and "breaking" news since 2004, yet here we are about 7 years later. While I'm just as guilty as the next person of getting excited over the news thats coming out, I realize that this will happen on its own time frame. There is a lot at stake for Iraq when it comes to RV/RI and they will really only have one shot to get right. I am no guru, and I wouldn't even make claims of being "smart" in regards to this investment. I do enjoy researching various topics however and needless to say that this made my list. I would suggest you read over the posts, news,both the plausible and crazy theories, do a little bit of research into currency revaluations and come up with your own feelings on the matter. After all, since you have bought dinar it is your investment.

You know you're a Dinar Redneck when... ...RV no longer makes you think of a camper ...you can name Iraq's Minister of Finance, but no one in the US Treasury ...all your "bookmarked sites" are Dinar related ...you have added a FOREX app on your phone so that you can check it on breaks ...you have set up local time and "Iraq time" on your pc's desk top.
