  1. Hey Machine Enjoy reading your postings here especially your recent book report on "The Red Dress" posted under the Gold & Precious Metals forum. As to the subject of HFT are you familiar with the writings of Frank Partnoy? His book "Infectious Greed" How Deceit and Risk Corrupted the Financial Markets... published in 2009 it is a brilliantly documented account from the inside at ground zero of the financial meltdown. A law professor and financial expert, Partnoy's first chapter, "Patient Zero" introduces the reader to Andrew Krieger, the currency trader who in 1984 had written a computer program to assess the value of currency options trading. After graduating from Wharton School of Business he was "captivated by a new, more esoteric phenomenon: trading in foreign-currency options, or the rights to buy and sell currencies at specified times and prices. By the time he had joined Bankers Trust as a currencies trader in 1986, Krieger masked his strategies by using a combination of options and other trades to make it look to the outside world as if he were placing the opposite bet of his true one. In one infamous episode, he sold, or shorted, roughly the entire money supply of New Zealand. " Partnoy is an avid researcher & this first hand account is a breath of fresh air for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the origins of HFT by introducing the key players gaming the system to create untold wealth thru the manipulation of global markets. 2. Come on guys....DB sent the following email last month re: changes in wiring instructions. July 12 2011 Your reserve deposit for order 000000000 has been received and processed. Good Morning, DinarBanker is excited to announce that we are working with Global Transaction Services to receive wires for us. This change will result in better overall service in the long run, however, in the short run, we will have delays in applying wire payments. During this transition time, mail orders and COD orders may well be as fast a way to get your dinar as a wire order. We have new wiring instructions and the way that we match your wires to your orders will change as well. There are four important things you need to know when wiring funds to DinarBanker: 1) We regretfully can no longer accept wire payments for mail orders. We will be issuing a Wire Payment Reference Number when you place wire orders. Without this number, we cannot match your payment to your order. Since we will only issue these numbers with wire orders, customers who placed mail orders will not be able to wire payments on their mail orders. 2) We regret we can no longer process online money transfers – you must call or go in to your bank and complete a wire transfer. Online money transfers do not transmit a memo section, so there is no information to match your payment to your order. 3) We can no longer process payments where the name on the sending account and your order do not match. We have had this policy for some time, but have not strictly enforced it. 4) We cannot process payments that do not include your Wire Payment Reference Number issued by DinarBanker and your Order Number in the memo section of your wire transfer. Keep in mind we receive hundreds of wire payments per day, so this information is critical to match your payment to your order. We expect that until August 1, 2011, it will take us 3 business days to apply wires as opposed to the 24 hours most of you are used to. We expect to return to this rapid processing quickly, but ask your patience during our transition. Here are our new wiring instructions: Beneficiary Name: Global Transaction Services 820 Marshview Close Roswell, GA 30076 Global Transaction Services Account Number: 334034245183 Account Type: Checking/DDA Receiving Bank Name: Bank of America Old Alabama Rd Alpharetta, GA 30022 Bank of America’s Routing/ABA #: 026009593 If you have any questions about your order, please visit us online at http://www.dinarbanker.com/support and submit a ticket. Thank You, DinarBanker

  4. DV Team: I just finished placing a wire transfer at my local BOA here in SoCal. We have several accounts in 3 different states so there was a few xtra steps Wendy had to go through to verify funds. She said the system had been down since they opened....I asked her how often that happened and she said very rarely...also of interest was a discussion of how their computers interact....I asked her why they couldn't verify our account in another state (mid-west) and she said there are two different computer programs running in the US banking system. All states except CA are operating on the "interact system" but only CA remains using the older system named "coin". She said it should be 2 years before CA converts to the new system. Sound familiar to any financial types out there? Sorry it is greek to me as most all my edu. in this area comes directly from the DV braintrust. One more thing.....Wendy showed me her screen which she called "green & black"....and told me it is run on the old school programing...that screen was for the "Host Terminal" used to complete wire transfers. She showed me because I was concerned if the system was down for the day I needed confirmation the wire went through.

  8. DV TEAM: Now seems to be the time, a golden opportunity if you will, to identify several mining stocks for my portfolio of investments. I trust several members in these forums have strong opinions on the topic and I value your advice/comments and thank you in advance for posting. So far my short list includes...GG, Eldorado Gold, CDE and SSRI. I understand the concepts of supply and demand and have read that it is estimated 80% of the worlds' gold is still in the ground. But I noticed today in the rally on Wall Street, America some of these stocks posted a loss. What am I missing here? Please be kind to the new kid in class!
  9. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who posted here. Answered my question & got me thinking peaceful, fun, exciting, laid back happy thoughts! GO RV for the people. 2DZNRoses
