  1. Longfellow = Pumper. Please people, anyone who knows these kinds of specifics would NEVER put themselves at risk by sharing this information to a public forum with nothing to gain. When someone says it is going to be between X and X rate and had first hand info of Shabibi asking IMF for approval to pull the trigger they are liars. My profile may not show it but I have owned Dinar for over 7 years and the gurus who claim special "intel" are full of it. How do I know? When are they ever right? NEVER!
  2. Move along everybody. This has nothing to do with an RV.
  3. Lol, you have no viable intel and there is no contact that is sharing that this will happen within "hours or days." How can I prove this? Let's try an experiment, we'll wait for 30 days and if this happens the way your high level contact told you then I will eat my hat and concede you are right. On the other hand, if it doesn't happen the way it was supposedly explained to you within 30 days, then we'll know it is settled that you have not intel. So how about it? As far as why I visit the forums, I look for verifiable information and opinions on that info and sometimes I end up reading bogus info. With that in mind, when has special intel by a high ranking official in a bank or government ever turned out to be right?
  4. Before you get excited and begin to believe anything about this post, just remember how many people with "big wig" intel have lied to everyone on these forums. Sorry but this stinks of pumper. If they delete the zeros from the CURRENCY (notice they never say the nominal value) we would have to have an exchange rate of 100usd/1iqd to make this investment a game changer for most of us and we all know that is not happening. It's nice to finally see there is attention being given the the IQD but unfortunately it is not positive. But hey, hopefully most of knew this could go either way and didn't bank our financial future on this one investment.
  5. Just did a random search of other "currency regime" rates on Oanda and there are quite a few that don't look anything like the actual exchange rate. Check for yourselves. Look under the table of information you will see a link that says "Another search". When you click this, you can highlight all the currencies and it will bring up a list of all the currency regime rates. Then go down the list and pick the ones with an actual number in the currency regime column. Then with another window open to Oanda's exchange rate page check the actual exchange rate. Many are accurate or are pretty close but there are many others that are not even in the ball park. As most of you know, 3.22 was the rate Saddam fabricated for the IQD. The speculation is that it will RI at that same rate. With that in mind, the Currency Regime table seems to list outdated currencies (you will notice some are pegged to denomination that no longer exist like the German Mark or the French Franc). I wish there was a more logical or exciting explanation but this seems to explain what we are seeing.
  6. So you're defending those who spread outright lies about the progress of an RV?
  7. So you are saying these guys have credibility and should be listened to? Would you recommend someone who is going to be making an investment decision with the Dinar should use their "intel" as reasons to jump in? Rather than just stating your opinion why not share some facts of why we should be listening to these people?
  8. Maybe it would be helpful to keep a running list of those people who repeatedly share outright false information. I will begin with the ones I can remember but because there are so many names running through these forums, please list others I have not included. Here are the obvious ones: Okie - DD seems to stand by him that he has real connections but he has clearly displayed that he is either a pumper or doesn't know when he is being mislead by his own sources. It's important to keep in mind that it's not only the fact that he is wrong all the time but it's the intel he passes on that is laughable. For example: He stated that one of his sources claimed all of Iraq was out in the streets a few weeks ago cheering because the RV happened. Sorry but the majority of Iraqi's have no idea what the RV will mean for them. This kind of sloppy into comes in way too often Terryk - I know the majority of us laugh any time this guy posts anything but for any newbies, don't give any attention to his claims of $5+ RV's that happened last week but just haven't hit the Western world yet. IMO, Terryk is the worst offender. Topgunner - I can only site one example of this guy being blatantly false in his intel but it's a pretty big deal because it wasn't something he heard. He claimed to have spoken to a rep fro DOHA bank in Kuwait who told him that the rate of .1 IQD to 1 KWD was an accurate and valid rate. Frank26 - This guy seems to be more cautious in what he shares. I'll give him credit for that but the fact that he welcomes intel from TerryK and Okie is a big tip off that he may not be the best guy to listen to. Also, anyone who posts anything similar to, "This is my first post and you probably won't believe me but..." should be tossed out as a pumper in disguise. I'm going to start keeping track of names of these people as well. Please post any other offenders to this thread and their claims so we can keep a list of who not to listen to.
  9. The more time I spend here and at DDT the more I am realizing there seems to be too many similarities in what and how many of the "gurus" and posters relay information. Let me give a few examples: 1. Have you noticed how many of the intel sharing crowd reference who "so-and-so" is sick or had a death in the family and can everyone please pray for him? Just seems strange. 2. What is the significance of using commas in this sequence ",,,"? I have read several posts by different people who break up their sentences with ",,," instead of periods. Maybe there is a reason for this usage of commas. If so, I'm all ears. 3. Why are so many of the groups of Dinar investor "Christian" groups? I'm a Christian myself and don't have any problem with Christians buying Dinar but some of them almost seem like the Dinar investment has become their religion. Just a little strange. 4. Many of the gurus have the same mannerism in the way they interact, using phrases like, "You can take that to the Bank!!!" or "And that is Fact!!!" There's a lot more then what I can remember but when I read the posts of different and supposedly unrelated gurus I often get the feeling I am reading information from the same person. Anyone else notice these or other things that make you go "Hmmm..."? And before any bashers take out their billy clubs, I am all for the RV and I believe that Iraq HAS to do something with their currency. What the end result ends up being, who knows but I believe something major will be done at some point with the currency. I just wish there was more objectivity and sanity to these forums then what I read all too often. Be skeptical of anyone peddling "intel".
  10. This rumor is BS and busted! The reference is to a 43-point programme that Maliki shared after his approval by parliament. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Constitution. Here is a link to the transcript: At least now it's clearer who's intel and "guruship" is in serious question.
  11. Here is a link to the transcript of the 43 points in English: This is definitely BS. I won't name any names but a certain guru just got busted!
  12. I can't believe all the people (including "gurus" who have special intel) are throwing around this Article 40 of the Constitution calling for an immediate RV upon government formation. Please people, take 10 minutes and read the constitution. It says nothing about RVs. Now, if you look at many of the announcements of Maliki's approval, you will see a reference to a 43-point programme he presented upon receiving approval from parliament. Someone started a rumor that they heard live feed of point 40 requesting an immediate RV, yet no one can provide a list of what the 43 points were. Let's all take a little time and try to find out what the points are. This will squash or confirm the rumor.
  13. Sorry but Article 40 of the Iraq Constitution has nothing to do with RVing. Maliki presented a 43-point programme to parliament when he was approved today. This is all over the news. I have been trying to search for what the 43 points are since this is clearly what is being referenced around point 40 calling for an immediate RV. Can anyone else find these 43 points? All the buzz is about the approval of cabinet but I'd like to squash or confirm the point 40 rumor. Anyone with a link to what these all are?
  14. It seems to be gospel that Shabibi has stated he is against a lop. I have searched around quite a bit and can't seem to find anything that gives me the impression he is against it. I understand he is head of a central bank and per central bank job descriptions, they have to be cryptic in the way they communicate. I also understand he will not use terms like "lop." However, I can't find anything that quotes him saying anything about a lop concept in a negative light. Please don't accuse me of not searching. I have read articles that people claim are the smoking gun of his opposition to a lop but what I have seen could be intrepreted either way. Thanks!
