  1. It seems like Frank and several others fully expected to see an RV by 8/31, based on what their sources were saying. But the sources have no control over what's actually happening over there. IMHO, Frank is sincere in wanting to help people in this investment, and is exhausted from all of the attacks by people who don't agree with him. He needs a vacation!
  2. Very well said, Scooby Doo. Hopefully Iraqis will soon enjoy the quality of life that comes from having a democratic, capitalistic society. I have no doubt that MANY Americans who are invested in dinar will answer the call to help others. Not out of guilt or having to be shamed to do it, but because they are good people with big hearts!

    DD findings

You're obviously really angry that this hasn't revalued yet. Sell your dinar and spend your time pursuing something that makes you happy!
  4. I've stopped going to other sites because of the tactics you're describing - they tend to be very rude and opinionated. I've found the mods here to be nothing less than fair, respectful and willing to give members several warnings before they have to take action. The only time they step in is to keep the chat room rated PG-13, or to keep the conversation on track when someone is trying to make a point, and all of the mods seem to have a great sense of humor. And most of the time, the topic of conversation isn't dinar-related. People are talking about their families, current events or sharing jokes. I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. I hope you're able to find a site that better suits you. Best wishes, R
  5. I was in the chat room, too - and I have a hard time understanding why "friends" would decide to call a female member the "c" word that most decent people find incredibly offensive. What would motivate them to enter a chat about dinar and suddenly go off on someone? My humble opinion: 1) you need to choose your friends more wisely 2) you need to come clean and accept full responsibility Best wishes, R
  6. Let me get this right - we have a political impasse in the first muslim democracy, the blocs are all refusing to cooperate with each other, the Prime Minister refuses to leave office because he's so completely corrupt, suicide bombings happen almost daily ... and someone actually said, "I know - let's send Biden!" LOL LOL LOL!!
  7. You speak for all of us! Thanks for putting it so well. An in the interest of being the eternal optimist, GO RV!!!
  8. Let's have a game of musical chairs - winner gets to be PM!
  9. God bless you, JHeezy, for saying so eloquently what so many of us are feeling! I completely agree with you that we need to keep a positive outlook and have faith that this will come to pass soon. The Iraqi people need it, as do so many of our fellow investors who are struggling in this horrible economy. I need my faith - I'm a Realtor and work long hours for very little reward. But I enjoy helping people, so it's all worth it in the end. And to those who sadly don't value the power of prayer, I'll say one for you, too!
  10. Let's get out the hook and drag Biden out of there, so they can get back to business! They aren't going to do squat as long as the US politicians are there. Surely he's overdue for a good, stiff drink!
  11. The media is portraying the formation of the government as a giant cluster f*** - that's not accurate?! Thanks for the post!
  12. It's the headline given by the writer ... translations always leave something to be desired. The article has some good information in it, you just need to read through a few times and digest it.

    RV?

Anyone who was expecting Obama to announce an RV doesn't understand the process. Shabibi and the CBI will pull the trigger on the RV, and they're not about to let Obama speak for Iraq. He's never supported our efforts to free the Iraqi people from a brutal dictatorship. He's too busy spending us into oblivion - and now he's blaming our economic woes on the war. Unbelievable.
  14. This is what America is all about! God bless this Marine and everyone who has sacrificed to serve our country!
  15. Baghdad, Sept. 1 (AKnews) – A lawmaker from the Iraqiya list led by the former Prime Minister Ayad Allawi denied on Wednesday the existence of any agreement with the Iraqi National Alliance (INA) to share power, stressing that the bloc insists on its constitutional right to form the government. Maliki and Allawi and Ammar Media reports had indicated that during his current visit to Iraq, U.S. Vice president Joe Biden has proposed a power-sharing deal between a-Iraqiya and the INA to form the future government of the country. Nearly six months after parliamentary elections, Iraqi political forces have not been able yet to reach a deal on forming the country’s new government. "The media reports about a power-sharing agreement between al-Iraqiya and the INA are untrue ... There is no agreement between us so far," Kamil al-Dulaimi from al-Iraqiya told AKnews. "The power-sharing draft is illegal and unconstitutional ... Al-Iraqiya does not want to set a new constitutional norm that will be adopted later and harm democracy." "Al-Iraqiya said earlier that it doesn't have any red lines against any political bloc. It wants an agreement about the government program, before forming the government so that it will be binding for the next prime minister." "The current negotiations between the political blocs are not serious because all of them insist on holding power." Observers believe that the U.S. is trying to bring together the Iraqi political blocs to end the government formation crisis. Washington is concerned about the impact of the crisis on Iraq’s security and plans to withdraw U.S. troops from the country by the end of 2011. In July, Iraqi media reports indicated that the U.S. presented a proposal in July about power sharing between the outgoing Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and al-Iraqiya so that Maliki will hold the PM post while Allawi will take the president’s position. But this was apparently rejected by al-Iraqiya and was considered as a constitutional and electoral violation. Al-Iraqiya, led by former PM Ayad Allawi came first in the March elections by securing 91 seats. The State of Law Coalition (SLC) led by Maliki ended up second with 89 seats. The INA came third with 70 seats. Both INA and SLC are dominated by Shia parties while al-Iraqiya is mostly made up of Sunnis, although Allawi himself is a secular Shia. Each of al-Iraqiya and SLC claims it has the right to lead the future cabinet. In late March, Iraq’s Federal Supreme Court ruled that the bloc that has the highest number of seats when parliament convenes will be entitled to form a government and not the party that won the highest number of seats in the election. The court’s decision meant al-Iraqiya was not automatically allowed to form the next government. This decision paved the way for larger coalitions and political maneuvering by the different blocs. 16. Baghdad (News) .. President vowed that the Iraqi List, Iyad Allawi, the political forces that impede the formation of the government to expose to public view. Allawi said in a statement singled out by the Agency (the sons of the news) that he will reveal on Thursday details of forming a government and those who stand and saw the forces of politics. Stressing that he will be guidelines on what he will present. Allawi said that the time is appropriate to reveal the cards to be the Iraqi people to see the forces that delayed the formation of the government. Has entered the Iraqi crisis resulting from the differences between the political blocs dark tunnel following can not be convened meeting of the Council of Representatives second, as decided by leaders and representatives political blocs postponed indefinitely pending agreements do not seem close to the three presidencies of the Republic and the government and parliament. The dispute is between the political blocs about the consistence of the constitutional form of government, in time, which it sees as the Iraqi List led by Iyad Allawi, it was the most entitled in the fact that it was the biggest winner, while insisting the National Alliance, consisting of a coalition of law and the Iraqi National to take over government formation. 17. Scooter - one more question related to the RV: your calendar includes the 1st and 15th as the only possible days for revaluation. I came across the UN Operational Rates of Exchange website, and it states that revaluations are scheduled on the 1st and 15th, but it also includes this paragraph: "There won't be an individual email notice attaching the new spreadsheet for scheduled changes. All users should check and download the file posted in this website. While there could be no changes for the mid-month, there might be ad-hoc changes during the month unexpectedly. Please check this site daily for possible changes." I assume this means we could have an RV any day of the month? Thanks for all of your great posts, R http://www.un.org/Depts/treasury/index.html
  18. Are we finally making progress toward a resolution? Excellent post!
  19. TK must be doing his job of jacking up sales - LOL! Go RV!!!
  20. Not only is TK full of it, but my wife was on their chat room watching the BS fly a few days ago, when things really got crazy. Someone called him out on all of the times he's been wrong, and TK cussed him out royally, then banned him. Another member told TK that there was no reason to speak to people that way, and he went off on her. The free-for-all got so out of hand that 5 mods quit! Why does anyone listen to him? Entertainment value...
